Hello, new guy here.

Just started vaping a few weeks ago. Still have not given up the smokes but I'm trying. The transition has been a challenge and really confusing. So many options, so many questions. Then I found you guys, decided to read down a couple of pages and what do you know, answers that that I can understand. Thanks for being here and sharing you knowledge.

After a couple of disappointments with gas station cheepos and an aspire bdc starter kit, I have been using a mini nautilus on a spinner2. Very happy with the nautilus now that I got the stainless tank. (In less than a week I broke that sucker twice, the second time the top o-ring was cut. Only place to replace it was from the manufacture and I could not see spending $7 on shipping for a $1 part). Now the spinner is a different story, not to pleased. I decided to replace it with an mvp v2 that's on the way. What I'm wondering is, will the mvp really make more of a differnce or I'm I just getting a longer life battery?

The mvp2 is highly recommended on this site. I have one and love it. The battery lasts a very long time. Most say dont let it completely die to help improve the life span so i usually charge it when the fire button starts glowing yellow. I also have a spinner 2 and use that while im charging the mvp2. My spinner 2 doesnt seem to last very long but i am also pretty new to the scene and chain vape quite a bit. The mvp 2 has variable volts or variable watts. So you can use either watts or volts. If you use the watts setting then it will adjust your voltage depending on what your ohms or resistance is on the tank you are using. If you you volts then it puts out whatever you set it at. Best way is start at the lowest setting then move up until you find what you like. My personal sweet spot is 7 watts. Good luck on quitting the analogs! I havent smoked a real cig in over a month and dont plan on going back!

Hello, Swamprats, and welcome. :) I think you'll find the MVP2 more than gratifying. If you go the Phil Busardo's web site, he has a review and the reason why it's so popular. Also, there is a thread here on ECF for MVP owners and a lot of your questions can be answered there.

I started vaping on the first MVP and ordered a couple of others even tho I also use ProVari's. I'm a happy camper with the MVP2 and a mini Nautilus! :D

What murfection is saying is right. The MVP2 is a great step up from a spinner style battery in a lot of different ways. First off, you'll have more control over the power going to your tank. Battery life is far better on the MVP as well, and if you charge it near your desk you can also use it as a pass-through meaning you can vape it while it's charging, which is a good thing if you work from home or spend any time in an office where you can vape. In addition to the extended power control and pass-through capability, you also get a built-in ohm reader so you can see the resistance of your coils, Short circuit protection, over-discharge protection, and a portable power source that can actually charge your phone if needed in a pinch. It's an all-around solid device and it's the #1 VV/VW device I recommend as a step-up from the ego/spinner style batteries.

Coming from a spinner you will really see the difference the MVP offers. Best of luck!

Very happy with my MVP. I was fortunate to find this place before pulling the trigger on my step up from gas station/convenience store garbage so I circumvented purchasing another "lesser" product. It's my out and about device while I now mostly drip at home. For the forseeable future it'll be my go to for anything that's a clearomizer.

to ecf Swamprats. So glad you are here. Congrats on the vaping. I did both for a good while because I was just trying to save some money. Got to the point where I just preferred vaping because of the flavor and haven't wanted a cigarette for over a year. I loved the mvp2 when I was using it. Fantastic battery life. Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

I think one of the most important things with the mvp as with most apv's with a screen is the ability to see your ohms and volts when the time comes and you're wondering whats wrong.

The mvp also puts out a flat output, but I can't attest to the vaping experience myself; (personally I think theres a whole lot of other more important issues that go wrong/reduce-performance).

As for glass tanks breaking, I've ordered an rg500 from fasttech myself to try out; it has metal covering to protect the glass; I believe but cannot confirm that it should be able to fit on an airflow control base.

I'm clumsy, to the point of being a liability. The stainless replacement tank that I got for the mini has held up to a fall already. It even looks pretty cool I you can get past the way that T shaped window looks when held upside down. The best thing was that it replaces the top cap and upper seal ring for about the same price of shipping on the upper seal
