Hello, I just received my DSE901 mini two days ago, and although I enjoy it and haven't had a real cigarette since, I have a couple of issues/questions: I have to 'puff' on it to get a good amount of vapor, rather than just taking a normal drag, any suggestions on how to get more 'smoke'? Also, same issue when trying to get a 'throat hit'...Also, I am unsure how long I can expect each cartridge, atomizer, and battery to last...also, can I buy DSE901 accessories from any vendor, and they will work, as long as they are for the DSE901? For example my husband got the black cig but would like a blue LED light, so can I just buy a replacement battery that features the blue LED light? Enjoying this but a little confused...

You dont take a drag like you would a reg. cig because its burning so requires a smaller drag, with e-cigs you want to take a longer draw not necessarily a hard one just a long 4-5 sec. draw try it and let me know what you think.personally I dont like pre filled carts I use a drip tip and drip my juice directly onto the atty you will get a better throat hit and produce more vapor.

agree with massacre....a long slow steady draw is the best method. Its different, but you'll get the hang of it. regarding the life expectancy of your carts and batts, well YMMV but as a general rule a heavy vapor will get a couple hours tops out of a cartomizer, if you are using a seperate cart and atty then you'll find most vapers are topping off those carts every 2-4 drops worth of drags. Batteries vary pretty widely from brand to brand and i'm not familiar enough with the 901 to give you a good answer.

thanks for the replies! I just got the starter kit and the pre-filled carts that came with it, but also bought some e-liquid as was told that would be more economical. I was under the impression that I drip the liquid into the carts, what do you mean drip onto the atomizer?
I also don't know what a drip tip is, but will try to research this :)

Anything designed for the 901 is going to work and that's all you really need to look for. As far as vapor and th are concerned, you'll need to look at the amount of PG/VG mix in your juice. PG is going to give you the TH. VG is going to produce vapor. So, if you want more TH, then you want more PG. If you want more vapor and less TH, then you want more VG. I use a 50/50 mix and a 60PG/40VG mix. I don't go with any higher PG than that because I'm not much of a TH fan and I love a big plume of vapor.

How long a cartridge will last is going to depend solely on you and how much you vape. There's no way for anyone to be able to tell you definitely how long it will last. No one can tell you how long an atomizer or a battery will last for sure, either. Atty's are especially weird. Sometimes they last for months, sometimes they only last a few days. Batteries should last for a while, but like everything else, they aren't eternal and you'll have to replace them. They should last at least a few months, if not way longer than that.

WAIT, don't drip directly onto the atty, the 901 is automatic, so there is a hole in the top of the battery, so that when you take a drag on it, the sucking action turns on the battery. If you drip with a 901 you'll kill the battery, unless you take the atty off first, then drip just a little bit, make sure it doesn't leak through the end that screws into the battery.

I started vaping with a 901 too, and after finding this forum I decided to get an eGo, which has a closed battery with a button you push when you want to take a drag. The eGo has a battery life that is probably four times the 901, which is why most people who start out with a 901 end up upgrading. I've been vaping since August, and I went from a 901 to an eGo, just bought a wetbox, and my Saber Touch is on it's way. I had no idea what a Saber Touch even was three months ago, but this forum has really helped me learn (and spend all my savings from not buying cigarettes!!).

The most important things at this point is you took the plunge and bought your first personal vaporizer, and you found this forum. You'll find more info than you'll ever even need, and lots of people who are more than willing to answer your questions. I actually stumbled upon the blue cart filler when I was placing one of my first juice orders from strictlyejuice.com, and I was really happy because I don't like the white stuff that comes in blank cartridges.

The best advice I can give you is to spend as much time as you can reading the wealth of knowledge on this forum, watch all of these videos http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html, order some sample juice flavors, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I also found that the chat area is great for getting an immediate answer (when my eGo arrived with no instructions and I wanted to know if I had to charge the battery a full 8 hours, I was happy to find out that all I had to do was charge until it was green, and then I was good to go).

Welcome to the forum and vaping!
