Brand new here. Fairly new to vaping (close to 2 months now and only 3 packs of regular smokes in that time frame). I purchased a Kanger Evod starter kit from MBV and I'm pleased with it, went with the Mini Protank 3 and Aerotank mini to be able to vape some better flavors and got a Evod VV 1000 mAh to go with them. While they work pretty well for me, I'm really starting to miss analogs more. I don't have a ton to spend, but want something that will help satisfy my cravings more and that will have a better pull. Thanks in advance!

Welcome, jp!
I'm not a grizzeled old veteran, at least at vaping, but I started with gear much like yours about a year and a half ago. A few months back I became unsatisfied with my vv
and fixed voltage sticks, so came here to see what had come along. The very short form of the story with a happy ending (until the next, happier one...) is that I now have a few eleaf istick 30w mods with vv and vw. For clearomizers I use the GS Air, GS Air M, and the GS Air Ms. The M is the favorite, though all are good.
Mount Baker lists the istick 30 at $34.49 for a full kit including wall wart and charger,
and has loads of 10% off promos, so it's about $31. The tanks go for about $9.50 at Sweet-Vapes, and they all play very well together. If you get the istick, I strongly suggest you get a silicone case, as the metal can be smooth and slippery.

S-Vapes also has replacement coils, at around $10 for a five pack, or you can go the Fasttech route for clone coils at ten for around $13.50. I've used both with good results.

Edit: for lots of opinion, nearly all very positive, about the tanks, go here— Eleaf GS Air Fan | E-Cigarette Forum

There are also threads in the forum for the isticks.

hi jptravel07 and welcome to the forum. When I was trying to get off the cigs with vape I kept a cheap tank of a higher nic handy for those times the "itch" couldn't be scratched. I would hit it once and then go back to the regular vape. The adjustment usually only lasted a few days then I was using the lower nic with no problem.

I don't have any experience with the Protank 3 or Aerotank but I love the Nautilus Mini and my Kanger Subtank Mini's. I do however, have a couple mod batteries (iStick 50W's ) to power them and know the difference between the VV and mods is huge.

I can give you some links. (I've bought from MBV and they are found here also, usually with a 10% coupon)

Thanks for the info. I've seen a lot of people talk about the isticks. Haven't heard of the GS Air clearomizers though. I'll have to do some checking into those. Mt Baker is the only supplier I've ordered from so far, mostly because a friend recommended them. SOunds like I need to start branching out on suppliers too!

Thats a great idea to keep higher nic on hand for the tougher times. Hadn't even thought of that! I went with 24mg out of the gate (having no idea what I was doing) and they've just been sitting around. I'm now at 12mg for my reg vape and its been better on the sore throat that 24mg gave me. Heard good things about the Nautilus Mini... I think thats next on my list to try. Thanks!

There are thousands of suppliers. Please be kind to yourself and check their reputations here on the forums before going for the lowest price. Many of us have learned the hard way that price isn't the only thing that matters. MBV and S-V have both earned their reputations for top notch service, and both are very good on price as well.

Let me also endorse Sir2...Nutz's good suggestion about keeping a higher nic tank around. When I started vaping, people here told me to vape stronger juice first thing in the morning, then back off to a moderate level for the rest of the day. It worked!

Welcome in! The best I can suggest is the Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC coupled with a Innokin iTaste vv4. Here is why....The Nautilus tanks really need a higher wattage say 10 to 15w, your current batteries do not reach that power level I don't think...? The tank has 4 airflow settings to match the draw you desire. Cost is circa 37.00 for the device and around as low as 21.00 for the tank. The BVC cost anywhere from a little over 2.00 to as high as 3.50, the coil has a much better life span than most other styles, great vapor and flavor.

Best of luck!

Welcome JPtravel. Good luck Vaping to get rid of the cancer sticks. There are lots of folks in here will give you plenty of links to good tanks and batteries. Personally, I use a ismokea mini tank and spinner II batteries. It works great for me, plenty of vapor and it keeps me away from Big tobacco's taxed death dealing cigarettes. Virtually any good tank and battery system combined with good quality liquids will help you. Welcome and good luck!

The wattage thing confuses me (typical newbie here). You're right, the Evod VV only goes up to 4.8 (which I think is the voltage but its the highest number on the adjustment at the bottom and I have no idea how that equals to watts), but I typically only run it at around 3.2-3.6 with a 1.8 ohm BVC coil, otherwise it tastes funny to me.

The wattage would be close to 11 or a little more I think. I don't think you will have flavor issues using the Aspire Nautilus BVC as long as you can reach 10w or more. I am assuming the coil you have may be bottom vertical but the wick is perhaps silica, not sure.

Last Christmas I started my brother on an iStick 20 and Nautilus mini. He's still using them. Today I'd still say N mini and upgrade the iStick 20 to a 30. After 7 months vaping my current setup is an iStick 50 and a Tugboat V2 dripper clone, 16 watts. The dripper showed up a week ago. I'm lovin that thing.

I've gone all in with eGo ONE's. At home, I'm using one of the tanks on an iStick at 15 to 20 watts with 1 ohm heads fully open air slots and naturally extracted tobacco juice. Using the eGo ONE battery for out and about.
One caution. You'll need lower nic juice if you hit direct to your lungs.
Absolutely the closest thing to smoking I've tried yet and I've tried a ton of stuff :)

I will! Thanks. I don't have money to blow on people that are going to send crap.

eGo Ones look great. The mini looks awfully convenient for on the go and in places that might not fully accept open vaping. Any suggestions on a good supplier for them? Thanks!

Great info all! Its much appreciated and any additional suggestions are appreciated! Now, I've got to search out threads that explain the wattage thing so I can get the right coils
Here is a simple conversion chart you can try, all you need to do is enter 2 values, the calculator will do the rest.

Tons of places out there that have them, Fasttech if you've got the patience to wait for a china delivery.
In the US, Vape NW has a good price on them, there's even some on ebay.

Anyone else have suggestions for good deals on the eGo ONE ?
