Hi, I have been vaping for 2 months and absolutely love it! I have made several batches of juice to try and must admit they are turning out very well. The closest vape shop is 90 miles away so I figured this would be the most economical way to vape. My question is this..
I do vape a lot but they start to burn quickly. I have been using the ce4 clearomizer I believe that is what they are called. I always use a ejuice calculator to mix. I buy my nic liquid from myfreedomsmokes.com I buy it 60mg 50vg and 50%pg I get the flavoring from perfumesapprentice.com and have not found one I did not like yet. I also get the glycerin from Walmart. So if I like strong flavor what do you suggest as far as percentages go to mix so they don't burn so fast. I mean literally the clearomizer lasts a few days and my liquid turns dark.
I spoke with a friend who lives in Dallas and she suggested it might be my setup so I am patiently waiting for my vivi nova tank to get here and the ego-c battery. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance..

I did forget to add I am smoking at 14mg nic level now not sure if that matters..

It sounds like your juice isnt the issue, but your tank. Some tanks are so damn touchy. I like the vivi nova tanks a LOT because you can wash them out and even clean the atty heads. This is great for people who like thick juice as it clogs quick and you can just wash the tank out. I also dry burn the coils, which I just started doing and the difference is night and day. I soak the attys in alcohol for a day, then I boil them in distilled water to remove all alcohol. Then I dry burn, pop em back in, fill and vape away. If you juice is just to thick, add 1-2 drops of distilled water right into the tank. This smooths it out and makes it wick easier. It all sounds like a lot of work, but I promise you it isnt. I have 5 vivi novas, so I keep them rotating.

CE4's are considered a disposable tank that has a finite life. You could try rinsing them out and letting them dry for 24 hours but if the "burn" taste is in the wicking or the tank, you probably just need to replace them. I mean the whole thing, CE4's are not rebuildable, CE4+'s are but not the CE4!. As suggested you might want to go with other tanks that can be rebuilt cause that will save you money in the long run. Head replacements are much cheaper than whole tank replacements. Also, consider getting at least one in pyrex or polypropylene. Polycarbonate tanks are susceptible to damage with some flavors. Pyrex or polypropylene tanks allow you to vape whatever flavor you want with no worries.

My heads go rather quickly also as I DIY a rather dark, sweet juice that does carmelize quickly which in turn gunks up my coils in about 2-3 days - I did run my disassembled Protank (head intact - 3 total pieces - tank body, base, and head) through my ultrasonic juice steeper (I don't have any jewelry :) ) using plain hot tap water and it cleaned the coil up perfectly (silica wick - don't know how it would work with cotton) put the head in the oven to speed dry it.
