Hi dtermined,
3 months for me in your shoes, heavy vaper too. I have tried mixing with some success, even thought I had an unbeatable mix until the high heat and humidity rendered it unvapable. I was wondering if anyone else was having that problem? What I found was best for me was to find a good tobacco base liquid and build on that, adding the pure VG with nic and a drop of this and a drop of that. The VG will dilute the flavor but add more smoke if its needs it, so use sparingly. I tried a lot of flavors too, several I have liked alone, but I usually just add a drop or 2 to top off my 510 cart to give my tobacco mix a subtle different flavor. The fun is in the experimenting, though it does take some money until you can find your go to's. Also note that there are different ecigs/atomizers and what tastes good out of a 510 will not be the same in a 901 and will be for the most part even better thru a pass thru device- and vice versa. Menthols to me taste better thru the 901 because it has more air flow. The mini-mini ecig atomizers (cigarette size) such as the L88b fit on a 510 battery (just for longer battery life) and produce great flavor for on the go vaping, but have smaller cartridges-alas more refilling. It just seems that nothing is perfected yet, and that you have to love to tinker and learn to accept the loss of a beloved battery or atomizer. You will have good vape days and bad, but if you are dtermined you will never want or need another cigarette, and that alone may lead to you not wanting or needing either. Your initial investment may rival your cigarette cost, but once you relax into the world of vaping, your savings will multiply by leaps and bounds. I smoked 2-1/2 packs of Salem light 100's for 25 years or so. The closest thing I have found to that taste of menthol is Salem from myfreedomsmokes and although the flavor is there the amount of vapor is not and when I added the VG..... it diluted the flavor. Try it, it is way different (actually tastes like a Salem) than any menthol flavor that can be mixed with pure menthols. I would like to know its ingredients, if anyone here can... I also ordered the VG and menthol crystals there. Get some blue foam and do a spring mod in your cartridge, have plenty of batteries. Never overfill, its just not worth trashing a battery for. As for juice, Viking vapor and strictlyejuice was a good cheap start. Vikings blueberry cheesecake hit my sweet spot when mixed into their tobacco. Right now in the midst of humidity, I'm finding that Vikings candy apple or strictly's pina colada diluted with 30 - 40% VG yields taste, vapor throat and lung hit very similar to a tobacco cigarette and a cloud to boot, though non-menthol it is very gratifying with a very harsh yet mellow sweetness (way better than menthol IMO), go figure. And the mixing makes a smaller bottle go a long way. Halos- although very expensive- can also be mixed to a liking with menthol and cut with VG to a point where their cost becomes cheap, but even mixed still need some time to ferment. Right now I'm smoking the candy apple, probably 3 carts since I stated typing this, and loving every minute of it. I let a friend try some when he asked me if I still wanted a cigarette and I replied who needs a cigarette when you have this... it was funny to see the smoke billowing out as he spoke the words "whoa duuude". It is awesome stuff... So mix it up and have some fun with it. Hope that helps some.
Keep your bats charged up and atomizers down,
