Hello ECF!

Here is my story:

I have never tried vaping. I have a few friends that started a while ago, and it seems to be working for them, so I am desperate to give it a try.

FYI:

1 - I live in a country that doesn't sell e-cigs (importing them is not a problem for me).
2 - The friend that started with the e-cig here got ripped off by the "white cloud" brand.
3 - He still buys pre-filled cartridges ($20 for 5!?) on a regular basis (I import them to him).
4 - A lot of friends want to stop smoking analogs.

Given this info, I need advice on the following:

1 - I want to stop smoking analogs (me and a lot of people I know), so from the info I have gathered, the best e-cig to start with is the VOLT by Smokeless Image, given the competitive price, easy of use, amount of vapor, etc. Is there a better option?
2 - I see this people on a weekly basis. I could refill their cartomizers weekly for a price - yes, reselling and maintenance is absolutely in my mind, since they are "rich" and do not want to bother with this stuff (see FYI 2 and 3).
3 - As a reseller, is it better for me to refill or to sell pre-filled cartomizers?
4 - Where can I get pre-filled cartomizers and liquid for the refill? What works well with VOLT (KR808D-1 right?) batts?
5 - Their starter kits seem fine, but what exactly do I need on a weekly basis? How many weekly cartridges/refills for someone that has been smoking red marlboros for at least 10 years?
6 - Any other advices, tips, suggestions are highly appreciated. I will probably have more questions as the topic develops!

Thanks in advance!

I would recommend you contact smokeless image as they would be able to help answer most of your questions. The cartomizers are refillable.
Smokeless Image sells cartos so you most likely could purchase those from them. From my understanding -you should be able to use any kr808 cartos but the vapor production of the volt cartos has to do with the way they are constructed so you may not get the same amount of vapor/hit from others.
As for the amount that you would need on a weekly basis that varies greatly depending on how much one vapes.
Best of luck in your endeavor!

I don't have the experience to answer your questions, but I do know that you will be asked what country you live in. It makes a big difference as far as what is available to you.

I can also tell you that branded PVs like the Volt aren't necessarily bad, but they don't get much respect around here and are typically not as reliable as other models. In fact, many are knock-offs like that are grossly overpriced: the models they are clones of are often cheaper.

Hi malyden and Critter Man, thanks for your answers.

I have sent an email to Smokeless Image and I am waiting for a response, but I would love to hear everyone's advices, that is exactly why I am here!

Let's say that my country doesn't really matter, as whatever is available on the internet is available to me (I have someone in the US that can send me stuff).

I read a lot of good reviews about the VOLTs, but I guess I could just buy everything separate and put together a kit? (now thinking as a reseller, and litecigusa has very good prices on KR808D-1 batts and stuff? I like the box and the PCC, though!)

look into liberty flights riva lite kit. they also sell Boge cartos. with the coupon riva is 29.99 and a 5 pack of cartos is well priced. i think refilling cartos is gonna be the way to go. will be less money on your end. i think cartos and you can give em 5-10 depending on how much they are vaping. then they can have you refill them all. i think that the riva and cartos will absolutely work better for you espicially if you are looking to make some money. if i can help more pm me or post and i'll try to anwser for you.

I'll just post here as it might help other people too!

The riva has a big battery doesn't it? I think a cigarette sized PV would be better to start off?

I was also thinking about the Vapor4Life Vapor King Ultimate XL Kit, with the 380mAh batts, would that be a good choice?

Just keeping in mind that I want to start vaping and quit analogs for real, and a lot of people I know want to do it too, so whatever is easiest to use/sell/maintain is best for me (saving less than $20 does NOT make a difference for my pricing here!).

I loved your answer, I also think refilling the cartos is cheaper for me and it works for both, right? How many times can I refill a cartomizer?

i have been using some of my cartos for like 2 months. so you'll get between 1-2 months out of one but it does depend. they can go bad. the riva battery is a little larger but last much longer and it really isn't that big. plus those kits i linked you you get 2 batteries which is nice so one is always charged. the thing with the riva is you won't get a smaller one than in a week or 2 decide you want longer battery life.the riva is easy to work and mine has been working amazingly since febuary. i love it and lots of other people really enjoy it. alot like it more than alot of the other ego style ones.

Critter just wanted to let you know that the Volt is actually getting some very good reviews
I actually was very surprised when I tried it for my self as I usually tend towards a larger unit like the ego or a MOD like the BB. I think the cartos are what really make this unit stand out from most other kr808's that I've used.
