Hey all. Im Boom_ nice to meet you.
I'm a 36yo from Canadaland. Long time smoker. And recently decided it was time to quit using e-cigs.

I tried some cheap corner store units that just sucked. Was window shopping the other day. And I bought the Dovpo E-LVT 2.0.

Now this is a massive forum by the looks of things. Will probably take some time learning to navigate. (I use tapatalk mostly).

If you guys could help point me in the right direction. Q and A threads. Terms. And such. It would be appreciated.

I've been looking for a home on the net to hang out. Think I may have found it. Thanks for the read.

Boom_

PS. Help me get 5 posts to get outa the new guy section. Lols.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Boom_. Glad to have you here!:)
If you guys could help point me in the right direction. Q and A threads. Terms. And such. It would be appreciated.
1. Power Source -- Battery or Mod/APV. APV = Advanced Personal Vaporizer
2. Juice Delivery Devise -- often a clearomizer (a tank that uses premade coils).
3. Heating element. Often called a coil.
4. eliquid. Often called juice.

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.

1. A Good Starter's Setup for a Beginning Vapor
2. Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods
3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Here are a few more links from New Members Information <= Link covers many topics. Here are two of them:
1. The Three Main Types of Ecig
2. Vaping Slang and Acronyms

You can get your 5 posts by just asking/posting a few more questions within this thread. You do not need to open a new thread.
Boom, what topper are you going to use with your mod and why?

Might want to look at Susan-S ref:

OR:

If you have any additional questions, just hit "like" at bottom right hand corner and I will get back to this thread.

Thank you everyone, i've had a look through the links. Done some homework. But one thing eludes me. My battery... My MOD can go from 7-30W. They guy at the shop bought it at. Said not to go above 11W. Why is that? Battery and heat or tank and coils?
I don't know what I have for a tank/coil right now. I had a problem with JUSTFOG 2403. We swapped it for another tank. I didn't get or keep the packaging.

Hi and welcome to the board. If the shop dude said don't go above 11 watts, he must have had a reason. Most of them like to tell you to crank it up. Without some data on your topper it's hard to say, but I'd bet it was to protect the coil in it, to keep you from burning the coil or your juice. 11 watts is pretty low, so I will guess you have a pretty tall resistance coil, 2 ohms or better. Most of those do vape better at lower wattages.

Thank you for the reply. Yea.. I don't know what exactly I'm using. But I want better. lol. He said I should get 3-4 weeks out of a coil and roughly the same for my juice. I go through 8ish ml a day... So I don't think he is right. I'm nearly out of juice. It was Friday I put down the cigs in favor of vape... I didn't mention in my OP, but i was up around 2 1/2-3pks a day... So i'm using 24mg juice. And I'm still going through it fast..

I'll try to get a pic or two up of my tank. Maybe I can get some sort of rough guess of what I have. the wicks are hidden in a center tube. Unlike my last tank. I dunno. lol

8ml a day sounds like a lot of juice for a +Ohm rig. I don't use a lot more and I subohm. But maybe you vape more than I (lol). I'm sorry. We'll all try to help, but we don't have enough info yet. Most tanks are marked with the name of the maker, and often a model number...

Nope, just had a look. No markings on this tank. And my bad. 6ml. I thought they were 4ml tanks, they're in fact 3. I re-fill em twice a day. This particular tank, came from a white box. Appeared to have 3-4 in it.. I don't know. I'm currently online shopping for a secondary kit.. I'm now not sure whats more addicting, Vaping or smoking. lol..

Vaping can be as addictive for sure, but you can slowly ween yourself of Nic if that is your goal. I just bought a Reo Grand. Mod recently and cut my Nic in half to 5%. If you want to save money in the long run check out the Reo Mods Forum. It was the best money I ever spent on vape gear bar none.
