Hi Saltyx. Welcome to the ECF.

Okay, I would say since you are not addicted to nicotine (or at least you say you are not) that if you choose to vape, your first choices should be for 0mg juices. However, if you have the feeling that you do want nicotine it is quite easy to get a 6mg or even a 3mg. I would say that a 6mg juice would likely be on par with your current smoking habit. Because lets be honest here, there is no such thing as a 0 nicotine cigarette--those just don't exist.

I would say that the risk of addiction with a 3mg/mL nicotine content is minimal. I typically vape a 21.5 mg juice though it ranges from 24-18 over all for me and I was a very heavy smoker and am clearly addicted to the nicotine. However, what I have noticed from switching is that I can go several hours already and not even think about vaping. I never could do that with a pipe or a cigarette. The thing that I think that makes quitting smoking so difficult is not just the nicotine, but that in tobacco smoke that nicotine is mixed in combination with several other chemicals which have a drug effect on the body, some of which are MAOIs.

If your nicotine needs/wants are very low, I'd suggest that when you find a flavor you really like to mix a 6mg 50/50 with a 0mg of the same thing (or perhaps something else if you're feeling adventurous). The resulting juice will be 3mg/mL (which is quite low). E-juice is quite versatile, if you find that even 3mg is too much nicotine, but 0 is not enough nicotine one could take the 3 and mix it 50/50 with 0mg juice again.

Saltyx, I used to vape then started smoking again an now I'm back on the Ecigs. If you can do 6mg, I would imagine that would be better for you. BUT if you research it out, there is no cancer causing agents in nicotine, analog cig- yes. There are benefits to nicotine. Here is a link to check out and you can find more if you google it. One more thing, some ins companies are canceling people who have nicotine in their system (Obamacare) with some companies, if the level is low (6) they won't count it against you. Hope this helps a little. Heres that link: Discovery Health "How can nicotine be good for me?"

That's a very interesting read right there. Although I cannot find the link I also read something about athletes using e-cigs to boost blood flow before physical exertion.
