New user, felt like I had a good system going, not so sure now

I'm fairly new, have only been vaping for a few months. I started out with an off brand ego style battery and an off brand T3 tank, the leakage was bothering me and I did a little research and picked up a kanger evod starter kit. All was working well, instead of having to clear liquid build up a few times a day it was mostly a drop max once a day that I would shake out when it started bubbling and I was having trouble getting it to produce vapor. It wasn't perfect but it was manageable and I enjoy having two batteries to switch between while charging one each night.

Today however that changed, I went to switch to my freshly charged battery this morning and nothing. The lights don't work when I push the button, no vapor is produced. When I plug it back into the charger the light flashes a few time on the battery and the light on the charger shows green as if it is fully charged.

Not sure whats wrong here, anyone have a fix? Do I just need to run out and get a new battery?

Thanks!

Batteries are just electronics and they tend to die at the worst possible time. I think its in their programing. Ok stupid question have you tried it on the other charger? Do you have a second charger? If that has been tested with no luck I would say you need to buy a new battery. Unfortunately sometimes we are forced to buy gear instead of just buying because it's the got tohave item. If your still happy with your set up andthere is no reason not to be, get the new one and chalk it up to the costof vaping, if you are not then await the on slot of opinions waiting in the wings.

Good luck and keep going, light

Could the battery been accidentally turned off? This happened to me a couple weeks into vaping, and I actually bought a new batt from a B&M, thinking that the battery died. But I had just accidentally turned it off.

No, I've already tried turning it on. Would it light up when not attached to a tank if it's the center pin? The other one does...

Yeah, the button light should still light up, even if the positive pin were pushed in.
Does anything happen when you press the button 5 times quickly?
As a last resort, put your clearo on top of it, grasp the battery end and the clearo end and gently wiggle the battery terminal end off. You'll see one, maybe two wires running to the terminal. If those wires are ok, you probably just have a battery gone bad. Otherwise, you may be able to fix the wires. Electrical contacts get brittle over time. Maybe some of the leaking has gotten down in there?

Exactly the same thing was happening to my ego c twist. It start doing it at after the third day, I brought it back to the shop and the guy told me that sometimes some makes of ego are not totally compatible with some tanks. I dont really know much about it but he changed it for a different one and that was fine with me... :)

I hope you get sorted

the center pin on the charger sometimes gets pushed down also. Try using a paperclip to lift the center pin on the ego and on the charger and on your attached atomizer. Sometimes when the items get screwed down a few times the pins get pushed in a bit. If not then the battery itself could just be faulty.

Try the atomizer on another battery, could be a short.

Im sure you have probably contacted your vendor. They are usually more than willing to exchange it.

WHen I used ego/ kgo I had a total of 4 and only had problem with one of those after a few days of use. The rest lasted over 6 months and I still have one that is still going after a year.

I had a similar problem with an evod tank. I took it apart and somehow managed to short the coil. When plugged into the battery, the battery would cut out (I think there was a series of blinks indicating a short on one battery). Then the battery wouldn't do squat even with the tank removed. If I plugged the battery back in to the charger it apparently resets the circuit and I could use it again. I'd say try another tank (or head) and see if you get the same behavior.
