Been smoking for almost 15? yrs now... pretty much a pack a day, marlboro or parliament lights.. and i'm 27. The last few years I been really feeling the effects of cigarettes... wheezing and coughing every morning.. just sick of the whole, breathing hard while walking to class- going outside to smoke all the time, worrying about how much i stink around non-smokers, even having to find a girlfriend that is okay with smoking or smokes too..
I never even dreamed possible that i'd be able to quit.. i figured the only thing maybe that'll stop me is maybe having a kid.. even then i thought - how the .... am i going to quit? i smoke with EVERYTHING, i wake up- smoke, eat- smoke, driving- smoke. HELL, if there's fresh air it's like "gotta smoke!" and it's embarrasing man when i'm hanging out with my non-smoking friends.. fiening for a cigarette, coming back after a smoke knowing i reak... anyway
so my friend who successful quit smoking after 10 yrs (gf helped him) have been having cravings.. even after 6 months.. and he bought an e-cig. he let me try it and it was pretty weak... had to take a huge drag.. not even the way i would hit a cigarette, but more if i was smoking weed... and i duno - just didn't have the same affect as a cigarette
i then thought.. hell maybe there some thing out there that successfully imitates a cigarette.. then i ran into these forums
HOLY CRAP - acronyms and terminology up the wazoo... browsed here off and on .. wasnt convinced at first but then i started reading more and more successful quitting stories on here..on how they successfully quit "analogs" (lol at that slang)... even the people who weren't trying to quit.. and how they dont even think of going back to analogs.. and i know people here were skeptical like i am now.. so it's really giving me hope. just the fact that alot of you are saying "i dont even think about going back to analogs" and then u try it just for kicks and you think it's nasty
^ that's really giving me alot of hope and well.. i hope i wont be disappointed as i'm kinda looking at this as a life saver.. but i guess if it even helps me cut down even the littlest bit, it was worth an investment right?
so after just looking over recommendations.. i realized the bloog had the most "successful" stories. i read just way too many "wow i didn't expect much but this really got me away from the analog" etc etc..has smallest form factor in terms of a cigarette (more like small cigar) size... has a good "throat hit" and even has a warm smoke factor?
well, i hope i'm not disappointed as i spent $120 bucks on this thing.... i hope i cut down a good amount and man if i could really quit i'd be so happy. i'm sick of ....ing wheezing and coughing in the morning and breathing hard walking up a hill? lol - did i mention i have asthma? lol sad ...
if anyone has read this far (lol)
a few questions....
1) i smoke about a pack a day, marlboro/parliament lights... i'm not sure how much nicotine lvl i should have ordered for my cartomizer.. but i got 16mg.. is that too much? i figure i'll prob have fun with it when i first get it.. puffin on it alot, so am i going to get a mad nicotine high? should i have gone with the 11mg? how will i know if i should order higher or lower mg levels after i get my bloog?
2) i was reading about the withdrawals people come out with... is that for people that are using non-nicotine vapors? or even with nicotine? just curious because i want to know what to expect
3) how long till you guys started to breathe better and not cough in the mornings anymore?
thanks for reading
