Greetings; Just got a Vamo V3, and i'm really happy with it. After vaping for two months, using a Twist for a number of weeks, I wanted something with more power and more battery time between recharges, and I also wanted an ohm checker in case I try rebuilding coils for my Davide.

I came close to getting an iTaste VV V3, because I love the small footprint and the ability to charge via USB (i'm around computers pretty much all day). I carried the Twist (650 mAh) around in my jean jacket pocket, and I figured I could do the same with an iTaste. In the end, I figured that higher power capacity and battery life were the most important factors for me -- being able to replace a dead battery is important too -- and I just couldn't resist getting a textured, gun metal black Vamo once I had it in my hand. Using my Davide Mini, this thing kicks out the sort of vapour that I was hoping for, even when the VW setting is fairly conservative.

I do have a couple observations; the +/- buttons do not stick out the same amount, so I would guess that the build quality, while solid, could be better (but almost certainly won't be, given the price tag). The fire button doesn't feel like it's higher on one side than the other.

After turning the power back on, I notice that when I go to take my first vape, the button doesn't actually engage; it takes a second push to fire up the Vamo. I hope that this is a quirk of the model, and not a problem specific to the one I have.

But these are not deal-breakers by any means; I knew I was buying a budget APV, and on the whole, I love this thing!

Regards
Glenn

PS: I wanted to buy locally, and I haven't seen any V4 or V5 Vamos for sale in Ontario. v3 is as new as it gets, and it's still possible to buy new v2's here.

My Vamo v5 is yet to be in my hand but it's out of Hong Kong finally and just trucked out of San Fransisco today at 10:58 PM today. But, waiting for it has had me researching out every morsel of info about them as I can to easy the jones.

The reason for the pause in firing after turning the Vamo on is because it has to take a reading of the atomizer to determine it's settings before firing. It does this bc the atomizer might have been changed during the power down (or so I gather).

HNVD! (happy new Vamo day). Maybe I'll have my own before the week is out.

Greetings; Thanks for the post, I actually did figure out the delay last nite. I was trying to fire the Vamo as soon as I switched it on, but I learned that I have to wait for the 'SYSTEM ON' message to scroll across the screen, then it fires up fine first time. The learning curve continues.

(When on I got the thing on Sunday, it worked fine when I tried out one battery, but then wouldn't fire once I switched to my second battery. I frantically checked out ECF Vamo troubleshooting threads, poured over the manual, and was just about the email the vendor when I remembered something -- I had to click the fire button 5 times to switch the unit on, just like with my eGo battery, lol. That learning curve seems pretty steep at times  )

Quick comment about another post I saw about a Vamo (V2 I think), the comment was a complaint that the voltage/power setting reset itself during each battery switch, and had to be dialed in again, but that's not happening with my V3 -- the mode and the wattage level setting is stored even when i swap batteries.

Regards
Glenn
