Hello, I decided to get back to vaping to cut down on smoking. I had a stick prince for a few years, and today I went for a huge upgrade and bought a Valyrian 3. I was immediately mind blown about the smoothness and flavor difference. Then I went and tried the old one in comparison, and I noticed something weird.

After puffing my new taste vape, then my old crappy one... I could actually taste the watermelon flavor in the old one. Whats the heck is this sorcery? Also, after my puffing my new vape, I could actually smell better. I use a fruity menthol flavor.

Welcome to eckeff. That sorcery is likely the mesh coil. I'm not sure what you were using before, but it was likely a vertical round wire coil. That's kind of the contended argument between traditional wire and mesh coils. To me, mesh sort of picks a particular flavor and makes it very very pronounced often overpowering other tastes if it's a multi-flavored juice. Round coils usually have a tad bit longer of a ramp up time and I think during that time, it hits more flavors along the way.

on returning to vaping and welcome to ECF. So glad you are here. That is weird about the old vape but hey, maybe it steeped to maximum flavor or maybe just weird tastebuds. 6a3bc4bb-f846-432e-b092-35ea3dbc9efb.gif Either way, good luck with vaping and cutting down on smokes.

Yeah. I hear what your saying, for instance, the fruit flavor is almost overpowered with sweetness. But like, so I had watermelon ice in my old vape, and I couldn't taste it. I hit my new vape with a different fruity ice flavor. When I hit back on the old one, I legitimately tasted "real" watermelon. Where I couldn't taste it before. It was interesting. Since then, I've added the watermelon ice to my new one. I only taste a very strong candy sweetness tho. Maybe the old flavor still overpowering.

    Welcome to the ECF,

I believe its the vapor tongue effect, I have it sometimes. Good fix (imo) is having 1 or 2 juices as swap or use it as a flavor change. If I use only 1 flavor for vaping for a long period, I will taste less than having 2 flavors beside. Hope it makes any sense. :D

Anyways, enjoy your stay and I hope you find out whats causing it.

    Be well,
