just thought i would do a quick (edit - lengthy) review of my first week of vaping;
i received my ego c earlier last week along with some vision clearomizers and a sample bottle of vanilla eliquid. Right of the bat i was impressed with the build of the device, as well as performance in throat hit and vapor. The CE4's were also extremely easy to fill up.
I immediately decided i wanted to try some more flavors, what-with the enticing sounding names multiple vendors were pushing. Ordered up a smaple pack of grizwald's range from vape escape (first-class service btw). All 5 bottles of the 20mg strength were pretty tasty, but the whisky cream really stood above so have gone on to order a larger 30ml. I also ordered the el toro puros 10ml 24mg which after getting over the disgusting smell have really appreciated - definitely not an all-day vape but would highly recommend to anyone craving an analogue. Ordered a 50 ml bottle.
I asked previosly regarding the easiest way to try new eliquids and the resounding answer here was use a atomonizer and drip-tip(?). I am still to do this, instead on someone else's recommendation got hold of a pack of CE3 cartomonizers from exhalecigarrettes. I have found the CE4's produce a more consistent, rounded and robust vape, though the CE3's give a great TH and vapor. The CE4' seem to want a longer slower draw. One of the cartomizers did not want to vape at all which was a bit frustrating so have chucked aside for now (dud?)
Still to get round to cleaning out the cartomizers so guess that will be the next hurdle, working out when to clean/ chuck etc
I also purchased a 20ml red label blackberry juice beside the CE3 order - quite a bit cheaper than the premium juices above - good quality TH and vapor albeit slightly artificial perfumey taste (satisfying all the same). Also ordered a couple of the pixiejuice's potions to try. And finally have just bought a variety of £1.99 10ml PG only juices from easyliquids. A bit apprehensive as have not tried PG only which they appear to be (does this make them cheaper?)..probably should't have ordered 7, oh well
I smoked a couple of analogues over first few days but last few days craving (mostly) gone. Definitely think the el toro liquid helped there.
Physically i no longer experience a smokers cough (seems a bit quick!), have i think increased lung capacity, and of course have been walking around in the superior knowledge that i no longer stink of a day-old ashtray.
Cost-wise not so sure - obviously there is the initial outlay but being a duty-free rolling tobacco smoker don't know how much i will be saving - however as said countless times no doubt the cost of not smoking really is priceless.
Ultimately if i stick would be interested in moving into a bit of diy but will see.
