Hello all, so I am a relatively new vaper. I have been smoking for about five years. I since stopped about six months ago (with a little slip-up for about two weeks). I have been doing well for the past month or so all thanks to e-cigs. I tried the patch and gum to no avail. I have tried many different e-cig brands including (starting from the beginning): n-joy, black, logic, v-2, prosmoke, blu disposables, starfire cigs, and probably a couple more that I left out but probably aren't worth mentioning anyways lol. My favorites have been v-2, logic and starfire but they weren't what I wanted. The batteries never lasted as long as they say,I would go through 2-3 or more cartridges a day, and the quality of the vapor and flavor overall were not great. And the price got quite high with them. I recently upgraded to vision ego from liberty flights with some e-liquid. This is by far the best I have tried and seems to be the cheapest. I can't fault the first ones I tried because v-2 and logic were really what got me off analogs. So I am here to find out as much as I can about the different ways I can vape because much of what I have seen has been overwhelming. I have been following this forum for quite a while now and decided to join. It seems that every question about e-cigs I had, one of the first (usually the first though lol) Google result was this forum. I think that's about it regarding my vaping experience so far and I hope to be able to learn a lot more. Thanks everyone!

If you are in NYC, a quick train ride over to VapeNY and you will not be sorry. I started off the same as you, with regular cig-a-likes and was not satisfied. Wandered into VapeNY one day and was able to try out products before buying, as well as get great advice from the owners who have been vaping for years. You also get to sample their flavors in the store.

I believe they have a NYC distributor but they only carry the products, not the same great service.

Congrats Cowboysfan, on quitting smoking. There is an huge amount of information about vaping on the website. Like you, most of us started out with a cig-a-like that had no battery life. While it seems overwhelming, remember the three basic elemants to vaping. 1) power source (battery, mod, APV) 2) delivery devices (cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, RBA's) 3) E-liquid (VG, PG, DIY). As you have questions related to each topic pop back on and the forum will probably have many answers/ opinions. Good Luck.
