Yes, there are people here who both smoke and vape ..... Most of them are in the process of quitting tobacco..... For some people, quitting smoking is harder than for others and even after being introduced to vaping it takes people awhile to ween themselves off of the tobacco... It's far easier for people to get off the tobacco if they will just experiment around with their vape device and find the proper nicotine and pg levels as well as power and airflow so that it mimics smoking tobacco. If done properly, the experience of vaping can be made to be almost exactly like smoking tobacco..... Once people get completely off of tobacco then they often experiment with various vape flavors, chucking clouds, or other various vape activities..... As for the 100 watt mod that you say people are having problems with..... Keep in mind that just because some people are having a certain problem with a mod or atomizer does not always mean that every single unit will exhibit the same problem. However, with that said, if people are having an issue with a device then there is a good chance you would also have the same issue if you purchase the device.... I would stay away from purchasing it to be on the safe side no matter how much you like the thing...... I am a hardware junkie for both rebuildable atomizers and mods and I am quite aware of what is currently on the market. The chip set in that particular mod you are looking at is a very good one. But, just because it has a good chip set does not mean that the mod is worth purchasing. If lots of people are having trouble with the screen then put your money somewhere else....
