Hey all...

After talking with my buddy at work who started vaping a week ago and hasnt had a analog since... and some prodding by him... I have decided to take the plunge and try and put away the analogs for good! Been a smoker for 29 years and enough is enough. I have tried it all .... gum, patch, welbutrin, chantix, cold turkey... the longest I stayed quit was for 1 yr.

My biggest downfall is the fact I LIKE TO SMOKE. It relaxes me and allows me to think. Im hoping the vaping part will take the place of the smoking part!! I know I will still have some of the physical addiction to overcome (especially with all the garbage that the big tobbacco adds to make cancer sticks MORE addictive).

But I am really jazzed this time... I tried my buddies V2 and thought...damn ... its like 99% there to the real thing!

So I hope to be around these forums (and this earth) much longer!! I should get my first e-cig tomorrow (Halo G6)...but I have a feeling I will be looking to step up to something bigger and better very soon. Something that I can keep on my end table at home to vape away on while watching TV or gaming on my PC. I used to also smoke a pipe so looking for something that gives off LOTS of vapor ...but still stays mellow. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site, I have been vaping for 11 months now after 27 years of smoking and have not looked back..There are many premium mods out on the market now, do a lot of research and choose what best for you.. this is what I vape on in the evenings..

Welcome , but your wife should be happy that your quitting analogs . And like me , you like a lot of mellow vapor . Try sticking to using the lower voltages , and juices , either all or very heavy on the VG side . PG equals more taste and throat hit , while VG equates to a bit less flavor , but lots more vapor . Good Luck . And I'm warning you right now , stay away from the classifieds . Your wife will want to divorce you , if you get wound up with buying every PV in sight . But you can't go there yet , anyway . You need 5 non-spam type posts , before you can even look .

Like you, I tried everything, nothing worked. I figured I'd never quit. Started vaping and never looked back. Almost 9 months now and I know I'm done with cigs forever. If you get into like I think you will, you'll save some money by skiping to good VV equipment from the start instead of buying everything up the chain until you get there.

Oh yes, WELCOME!!

Welcome, fellow A&P'er...definitely get the best you can afford in the beginning, you will be much happier.

Heh heh... you're one of the few to catch the meaning of my screen name. Been using it since I received my A&P back in 1992. And thanks for the welcome :toast:

So..and I know you all get this question in a million different ways... would the Ego-T be a good step up for a home evening/lounging vape if I find vaping to my liking? The reviews I have seen all seem to be quite positive, and I like all the vape production I see from it, and love the idea of a batt that will last a day or more, and a tank that will not require me to refill every few hours.

Welcome FAAmecanic. I too started out with the Ego-T but quickly realized I was not getting the flavor level I liked. I then tried an Echo-E cartomizer and will never go back to the tank system. The cartomizer looks and works great with the Ego battery, holds much more juice than the tanks and in my experience produces much more flavor and vapor. Even if you do get the tank system why not throw in one of these cartos to check it out. At about $4 to $5 bucks its an inexpensive experiment that you just might fall in love with.

The Halo G6 is a great slim ecig and gives you that real smoking experience. I still use mine. Oh a flavor you might like is Captain Jack, I just got some and it tastes like real curred tobacco to me, I love it! Also the Midnight Apple and Tribeca, and Prime 15 and Menthol Ice and ........ you will have fun, try a sampler of ejuice so you can add a few drops to your cartos after you puff about 10 hits, keeps your catros nice and moist and ready to vape. Enjoy! bnrk
