If you mean you only smoke socially, meaning you are an extremely light smoker, I'd recommend one of the KR808s. None of the small cigarette sized or slightly larger boast of much for battery life. But, by your description of your smoking, that's not an issue.

Yeah, the Bloog, mentioned above has some great fan base. I haven't tried it myself. But, I may get a Bloog kit for someone on my Christmas list. It slipped my mind until I saw the post (above).

Agreed - Volt/Bloog/G6 are almost identical. I have a Volt and I love it.

I think Smokeless Image (who sells the Volt) has the best price of the three I mentioned above, and they also carry more accessories. They also carry sealed automatic batteries which are more resistant to juice spills.

A nice option with these kits is some of them come with a personal charging case (pcc). You charge up the pcc and then can charge your batteries in the pcc when out and about. Smokeless Image's price on cartos is also really good compared to other places. They're usually around $9 for a pack of 5 (either filled or pre-filled with ejuice).

Most kits come with two batteries in your choice of color, length, and LED light color. With manual batteries, you press a little button to activate the atomizer in the cartomizer. With auto batteries you activate the atomizer when you take a drag, just like smoking.

Welcome to the forum, and have fun chosing an e-cig and tasty e-juices!

The strongest are KR808D-1 models and I recommend manuals - Vapor4Life (V4L) or the other style from SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet or Halocigs G6. I recommend the 78mm/standard batteries for 120mm ecig. On a manual use a standard resistance DSe901 atomizer and drip tip to test new juices.

If you want more Blu-like (i.e. less charge, less voltage) then Joye 510 manual and use Boge 3 ohm cartos with it. This has the same threading as Ego or Riva 510 but cannot use their charger and cannot use the hotter LR cartomizers or atomizer. Slim ecigs use standard resistance which is about 2.5 to 3 ohms. NiteLiteVapor.us carries the Boge cartos in tan and white in addition to the common black most multibrand shops sell. And this place sells a nice PCC http://www.ecigcharleston.com/Smart-PCC-Charger-510-p/smart pcc.htm

I only recommend manuals - harder to damge or kill with juice leaks, easier to get a good hit. Most people here use and recommend manuals.

All good advice- I started with a joye 510, and it was good. Or good enough.

I'll put in a plug, though- egos and rivas somehow manage to look big in the pictures. They really aren't.

And the little minis and penstyles manage to look smaller than they are.

For my money, if I were starting out again, I'd get an ego or a riva. Not much bigger than some of the stuff you're looking at, and a lot longer battery life. Also (this matters a lot to me) more rugged- harder to break.

Best,
Ande

You're gonna love it Darla! I started with Green Smoke then bought an Ego-T, then finally the Volt. The Volt blew my Green Smoke and Ego out of the water. No comparison - I love it! That little e-cig packs quite the punch and pumps out clouds of tasty vapour.

I hope you picked up a couple of diamond end caps to your Smokeless Image order. If not, you'll have to add them to your next order, because they make the LED shine super bright and sparkly!

Let us know how you like it when you get it!

From experience I'd recommend getting the V4L battery with the Bloog cartomizers. These are 808's so you'll have options down the road.

V4L has moderately priced equipment and sells "shorty" batteries in various configurations (colors/lights/etc). These are not much longer than a regular analog. I can palm the shorty batteries so only a tiny bit of the cartomizer is visible.

Bloog cartomizers are hands down better than the V4L ones.

Find some juice vendors you like and start getting to into refilling early.

As far as PCC's go, there really just aren't any awesome PCC's out there unless you're willing to drop $100+ on it. I'd say just go with cheap (but quality) gear to start and treat it all as your "beater gear" to start. You'll form better opinions later once you start vaping and will ultimately replace/upgrade some of this as a result.
