New vaper in distress.

G'day everyone,
I'm rather new to vaping and i am having many problems with my mods. clearamisers leaking, burnt taste, ect... and youtube has very helpful in fixing these problems. That said i really don't want to be having any problems as i never had a problem with a smoke. Not wanting to go back to smoking i would like to know what the most reliable and maintenance free setup would be. I am currently using ego-t with kanger T3 bcc tanks.

Any help will make me a very happy vaper =).
Thanks for your time.

Hi, Dueler, and welcome to ECF.

I know a lot of people here don't like them, but I've had pretty good luck with my 650 mah ego-c's with CE4 clearomizers. Maybe it's an affinity for what I started out with, but they seem to be working well for me, and that's what counts. I get good TH and flavor, and by having several going at once I really don't need to worry about recharging. I was lucky enough to find starter kits for $15 and was able to stock up with them. I've tried CE5s with them, but they start leaking after a while. I've noticed that the CE4s with springs leak after a while, too. I have tried a couple Anyvape Davide clearomizers, and they don't have any flavor except metal and glass. I get plenty of "smoke" but no flavor. So when those are shot I'll throw them away. My goal is to try to be as hassle-free with vaping as I was with analogs. So far the eGo-C/CE4 combination seems to work the best for me. Just my opinion, though. Also, it leaves me more money to spend on juice! :D

It doesn't sound like you are having much problem if any with your ego battery. Your issues seem to be with the juice attachments you are using. The T3 clearomizers you are using aren't too different from the Protanks everyone is suggesting so far. Nearly the same inner components, but the Protanks are a much better made tank. I'm concerned that you'll just be switching from one tank to something similar and end up with the same issues. You really need to consider why the T3's are leaking with you. User error or using a poor knockoff of a genuine T3?

I've been using the Innokin iClear 30 clearomizers for a couple of months. Pretty nice vapor and flavor. I've had absolutely no issues with leaking. Easy remove the top to fill caps. Comfortable tilting mouthpiece. I've been rotating between four of these for over a month and have yet to need to replace the heads. The Protanks are a fine clearotank, but I much prefer the iClear 30.

Hi Deuler,

feel free to have a look at my new thread - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...g-journey-guide-beginners-photos-reviews.html -

Hopefully will give you a bit more information.

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice, i feel i have come to the right place. just wanted to clear up some points that have been made. I am using genuine T3 tanks and most of my user errors were made very clear while using the stardust tanks. I can not however totally rule out user fault.

The protank seems to be a very popular item and i will give them a try, i also will be trying the Innokin iClear 30 as the suggestion sounds solid.

Thankyou all very much.

I am using basically the same set-up that you are using and I am extremely pleased with it. You did not mention what juices you are using in the T3's because from what I have heard, different juices can make clearos perform differently (as far as leakage and other problems).

You also did not mention what kind of maintenance you are doing with your clearo - they do require maintenance. No matter what system you use, it will require some sort of upkeep. I have two Kanger T3S's in my vaping collection along with about 12 heads that I clean and rotate regularly. I would say that I replace the head/coil assembly around every two juice refills. This means that I replace the head every two days. If you don't want to take the time to clean the head/coil assembly, then simply replace it with a new one. If you are using the T3S, they are only around a buck apiece to replace them. I have been using the T3S for about 3 months now and I have only trashed 2 heads in that time.

You have to understand that vaping is not as simply as smoking but the rewards of vaping far outnumber the few inconveniences that come with it.

Stick with it and keep on vaping :vapor:

I like the protank mini, followed by the evod, followed by the protank for it volum.

But the industry is very young and there will be many great intonations. But it can be complex until you get set you with the right setup for you. If you want it as simple as picking up a pack of smokes, I would look the blue, but the cost is high.

3-in-a-row-mentions of the Protank with no leaking? You guys must be incredibly lucky! It's still a fantastic tank even when it does (occasionally) leak.

I've found that taking lighter drags vastly improves performance, as well as keeping it above half-full or topped off as much as you can. If you do both I don't think you'll ever get anything beyond a little condensation on the connection.

I heard the i30s were pretty top-notch, haven't tried them myself yet, but from what I've heard it sounds like a great system to try. From the research I did they sound like one of the most maintainence free methods out there, so long as you use the tilting method to keep the top wicks nice and wet.

Good luck, hope you find something that works good for you :toast:

I'm new, have only used protank 2 and evods. Have had zero problems with protank; it's a great device, totally recommended. The replacement coils are dirt cheap, too, and you can use your own dip tips instead of the one it comes with, which is fun.

There were gurgling/leaking issues with evods, but that stopped when I started to stick a q-tip down the middle tube when filling them up. I must have been getting juice down the tube, causing the problems :)

I just got my Provari with a Protank 2, and I'm getting some leaks and gurgling... I am still a new vaper, so I attribute this to USER ERROR. I went from Blu's to this setup, so I'm probably still drawing really hard and pulling a lot of juice into the coil area. My ejuice is Vertigo 0mg Nicotine by CC Vapes, and it's probably on the thin side, but I'm just speculating. I have all flavor wicks in place. My coil is at 2.3 ohms and I'm using 4.2 Volts.

Maybe I didn't put the sillicon cap on very well over the coil? When I chain vape I do get gurgling and some ejuice in my mouth. I'll figure this out, and have a lot of fun doing so.

I use the exact same setup. 2 of them. eGo-T upgrade batteries (1100mah) with MT3S tanks on each.
Basics: I vape about (1) - 3ml tank per day...actually 2.5ml because I dont drain it completely to refill it.

I have to change coil head about every 5 days if I use one unit constantly, sometime on day 5 its starts to taste burnt...i then immediately change.
OR
I have to dry burn the coil clean....in which I get about 2 more days of no burnt taste then change it out.
When I do dry burn it, I will usually remove the top flavor wick, and replace it with some cotton from a swab.

Are you using a PG heavy juice? I've been using an 80%PG with one flavor wick in my protank II mini. I get some gurgling, but no juice in my mouth. It did flood on my way home from work one day, so I cleaned the whole setup after I got home. Problem fixed. I could see your gurgling coming from 100% PG liquid. Just keep your tank clean, and you should be pretty well off.
