^ Love this. :) About 6 months ago, my coworker made the mistake of saying something along the lines of "Well, you're still pretty much smoking, right?" I let it stew in my brain for a night, then let him have it the next morning: "Well, you love subway sandwiches with ham, right? So if you quit having them with ham and started having them with beans (which also provide protein), you'd still be having your beloved sandwiches, right?" Not a word has been heard from him regarding ecigs since. :)
Incidentally, my GF later told me that I should have used sex and .........ion as an analogy instead...

Oh Mommy Dragon! This is going to be a journey for you. Let your hubbs know that you have tried to do as he asked and you just cannot do it. It's not that you want to let him down but you just can't help it. Ask him if it's so important to him to be superior that it's worth it to him to see you heart broken due to your own failure. Ask him to give up a favorite hobby or food of his or the thing husbands and wives do together (don't know if I can say the big S word on ECF without getting spanked)for the rest of his life to show him some what of what you face with cig smoking. If he is not a smoker he will not ever be able to feel your pain. Good luck with the volt. Let us know how it's going and don't be afraid to ask questions here. We are here to support you. It's what we do. My husband hated my smoking too. When I told him I was gonna vape he just said that's great. I know he was thinking I would never quit even with vaping but here we are a year later. Enuff said.

A little back story to help you all understand my husband's perspective:
At age 14 he discovered his grandmother (that raised him) dead, caused by tobacco
In 2008 his father died from tobacco.
6 months later, in 2008, his best friend died from lung cancer.

He has never touched a cigarette. He has also never had an addiction.

I think it is truely beyond him to understand my smoking addiction & why I haven't been able to "just stop"

I've been processing his reaction... & I think that since vaping looks like smoking that it scares him just like cigarettes do.... Hopefully in time he will understand. But until then I will share my excitement with all of you wonderful vapers :)
