Hello all,

I am one day new to vaping. Yesterday was truly the first day of not one smoke. I am doing a bit more research so am joining a few forums to find a good fit. :)

How I came about this was from my local radio station advertizing local shop. Got to talking with hubby about it and did some surfing. Saturday I went and bought. My starter unit is eGo-T 11 hour batt, smokRBC. I am not that familiar with the latter as I have just started learning about all this stuff. But it meets my expectations since I am a light smoker.

I have been a smoker since 14 and now am 50. BUT it has not been steady as I am able to drop it on a dime with no bad results. One thing is I have gone years in between light ups until stress hits. Well, stress has hit in a big way now and I find myself buying packs every few days. This has been over a year now since In- laws moved in. Another story for another time.

Anyway, I am on blood pressure meds, which I want off of, smoking is a big part of the cause. I personally do not like the smell of smoke and have to lit up to negate the smell of someone else smoking. But no one at home smokes just chews so I wish to stop it for my own health but like the hand to mouth and puff. So E cigs looked promising for me. I have to say I did not expect all the flavors. Years ago I had a friend that owned a smoke shop. I was smoking Black Russians then and Ginsengs. So the flavors for Ecigs was a pleasant surprise. ;) Now to learn it all.

Welcome to the Forum I wish you well with getting off the Blood Pressure Meds IMO as a light smoker you may at some point be happy with a lower nicotine E-liquid.say 12 or 18 mg instead of 24.mg. On the other hand I stick to 24mg Juice as it costs the same regardless of nic strength so I just that less puffs throughout the Day. Regardless I have no doubt you can find answers and help here on EFC.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on how far you have come already!

Learn it all? Well, just when you get a handle on something the next new thing will come out. Vaping is the only activity I've been involved in where someone can say, "Back in the day..." and mean 18 months ago.

My advice is to try and not get sucked in by the Hot New Toys. After 40 years of smoking I quit in July of 2012 without variable voltage, nice clearomizers or rebuilding anything. All of the advancements have made vaping more successful, since there more options to fit different vaping styles, but having so many choices has also made it more confusing.

Thanks you both. I started with 6mg since I am a lights to ultra lights smoker. This is what I also mean by light smoker. It is working for me and I hope to lower it to 0 in time. I know I need an online supplier for e liquids. $8 for 10ml is way too much with our tax here. But it was great to meet the local shop and try our flavors. Let me know I will not buy anything with creme or milk or coffee or pastry.

I used Smok RBCs, They were simple and didn't leak. Easy to take apart and clean, too. Uses a simple, single bottom coil.

If you decide to upgrade them, I would consider the Nautilus mini or full size. They do take a different coil though.

All-in-all, welcome and happy vaping!!

OK I was told to just buy new and do not bother cleaning because they were two dollars. I will check into the nautilus. Thanks.
