LOL... Namuch (Carl) is out here in Surprise, Pharoah (John) is close by (Sun City) and a few other folks that don't get on here much any more...

We vape here in Surprise over at Riff Raff Bar & Grill (Dysart Rd./Waddell) and at Las Fuentes (a small group of vapers have met up a few times at both places... Riff Raff was great about it and Las Fuentes didn't seem to care).

Let us know if you've gotten the ok to vape anywhere and also you might want to add it to this web page Vape Friendly Locations The list is sortable by State.

I'll do my best, but for the most part i'm a very discreet vaper. I vape pretty much anywhere i go, and haven't had a single person tell me to stop... mostly because i do it discreetly enough that nobody usually notices. I just recently flew to Hawaii & back and vaped the whole way & nobody said a word :) I'd love to meet up with some fellow West side vapers (sounds like a gang).. i'll keep an eye out for the next planned meet-up.

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. Started vaping four days ago. I saw an infomercial one night a couple weeks ago don't even remember what they were selling but i would never order anything from an infomercial anyway so i immediately put my google skills to work found the ecf did a bunch of research and ordered a couple 510's for me and the wife haven't smoked since and have been doing great so far.

Anyone out in the far east valley? I've never seen anyone vaping around here and was vaping in the car yesterday getting quite a few puzzling looks. :p

Aloha Everyone,
I am still a fairly new vaper and live in AZ, but not around the PHX area. I hope I can still join the group. I found it a few minutes ago.
We are about 3 blocks south of Hades! Has to be hotter here than there, lol. Actually live along side the Colorado River in the NW portion of the state.
Hubby works, which is great but his pay has been going downhill for a couple of years now, not so great. I don't work as I took care of my Mom during the last couple years of her life (enjoyed every minute of it). I have a disease that leaves me in pain daily and was in hospital in June with Bells Palsy on top of everything else. If I had NOT taken my e-cig to my usual dr. appt that day, well... it would not have been a pretty sight. Ended up going from the dr. office to hospital for a few days. Was a 2+ a day smoker for nearly 40 yrs.
I still fall off the wagon but really don't beat myself up about it. I remember all the analogs that I have NOT smoked since beginning vaping and that snaps me out of feeling badly for have a few. It took me a very long time to get to this point, so I don't expect an overnight cure (which I do envy) that many people have experienced.
I wish I could find a local "club or group" around here. It would give me a great reason to get out of the house, meet people with the same interest and see what everyone uses. Our son in now attending MMI (out of AF) so, hopefully one time we can go and have a visit with him while you are having a get together. That is, if you don't mind having people not from the area attending.
Well, just thought I would stop by, say Aloha and hope to join the group.

Hi TuTu! Welcome to VIP! All Zonies are welcome here (as well as Snow Birds!). I hope you'll be able to roll in some time for one of our meetings.

I take it you are near Parker or Lake Havasu? I love the River areas but it's been quite a while since I've visited.

Everyone is different when it comes to "quitting" smoking. My AH HA moment about why vaping sometimes didn't cut it was when I figured out that some of us have a brain rewire with the MAOI we received from smoking long term. A brief explanation with some info. on that can be found here This is your brain on nicotine

Be sure to check out all the threads in our forum. Lots of fun stuff and info. on our local Arizona suppliers in here too.

If I can be of any help to you, feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks for the nice warm welcome. Yes, I live up the river, lol. I have been reading so much info on this site, it makes my head spin. LOL.

I have or at least try to make myself go outside when I have an analog. This does help but since we have 3 "Tots" (Turds of Terror = dogs) they LOVE the idea of being able to go out and play when one of us has an analog. I have been taking my PV with me instead of the analog, which also helps. But... after all these years of smoking, as I mentioned before, I don't expect to be able to just up and quit. I know myself on certain subjects. LOL.

Thanks again for allowing me to join and I hope to meet some in the future.

Hi Tutu and welcome! Yes, Hellen is our AZ "Welcome Wagon" so to speak. She is amazing at welcoming all of us.

Just thought I might share how vaping got me to drop analogs. I smoked Newports (strong analogs) for 30+ years. When I started vaping, I started with 12 mg juices. then bumped up to 18mg with a few at 24mg. The 24mg got me a little funny, sort of buzzed, and it was difficult to focus/concentrate so I rarely vaped that level. But, with occasional 24 mg vapes and mostly 18mg vapes, I reached for the analogs less and less.

Most of the 30+ years I had been smoking half to three-quarters pack/day. But for some reason, for about 3 months prior to starting vaping, I was getting closer and closer to a full pack/day. After starting vaping, I just found myself reaching for the analogs less and less. After 3 weeks of vaping, I was down to 2 or 3 analogs per day. Within another few days down to 1 analog/day and after a few more days I just sort of said "why not just try none - only vape - for a few days and see how that goes?" I haven't had an analog since and that was 3 months ago. So, it took me about a month to ween off them from the day I got my first PV. Yes, some people to drop them day one, others take several months to ween off.

I would suggest you not put too much pressure on yourself and certainly do not compare yourself to what others are doing. I have no idea what mg level you are currently vaping but you might consider stepping it up a level or two and experiment. Once you completely drop analogs, your taste buds start to change and the vape flavors get better and better. Juices I did not like in the beginning, I suddenly began to really enjoy. And juices I liked in the beginning, I stopped reaching for. I am now enjoying flavors (like non-menthol tobaccos and several others) that I never imagined I would ever even consider - and find I REALLY enjoy them. I have also dropped my nic level down to the 10-12 range and vaping 0-6mg at night.

Whether you try any of this, or not, any reduction in analogs is great and we all applaud you, and all who cut-down/drop analogs. So, again, welcome and stick with it because it can only help! :)

She never welcomed me! What the hell?!

Anyways, welcome Tutu. Believe every word Nebula says, it took me some time to break free... and to be frankly honest I had a really bad month last month so I found myself buying some analogs again to cope. Back off them though, and doing better than any point I was on them. Being a 2pk/day smoker it took me around 4 months to fully quit after cutting down. Some friends I have in the phoenix area quit the same day they got their PV. It's just different for everyone but they do work for sure.

I was one of the lucky people. I quit the same day my e-cig equipment arrived in the mail. I still have a brand new carton of Pall Mall's sitting on my desk. Never went back to them.

They are right. What works for one person, might not work for you. There is no right or wrong way to do it. You have to do what works best for you. There is nothing illegal about smoking a cigarette. At least, it's not illegal yet

Wish we lived closer. Would love to meet you.

I have not been to a vape gathering yet. But I'm planning on attending a couple of them. Really look forward to meeting some like-minded people.

Paula

 How'd that happen? Welcome Quake! Late....

Bad months are normal... it can take a long time for some of us to get our heads back to normal. I still struggle after 16 months. Falling off the wagon isn't a big deal, especially during times of mega stress and anxiety as long as you make your mind up not to go back to the way it was (limiting the smoking to a very moderate level, say no more than 5 a day and not smoking if you don't really feel the need to). Keeping it medicinal and getting off of them as soon as you can is much better.

If vaping isn't working well, find some Swedish snus (don't bother with the Camel, etc. made in the US it doesn't work well) or snuff (nasal). It can replace cigarettes and give you some of that Ahhh factor (WTA) that is only found in a cigarette (and you can use it if you can't vape somewhere too). It really helps me. If anyone wants more info. on these products feel free to PM me or start a thread in our forum to discuss it.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Dave. I'm 38 from Queen Creek in the far southeast valley.
I was also a light smoker (6-10 per day) for 22 years. Never could quit.
Been vaping now for about 22 days and I'm loving it.
Have not smoked a cigarette since day one. My wife Tish has also quit. She is on day 5 of 100% vaping so she's feeling a little stressed and still fighting that urge to light up.

I started with a Blu ecig and loved the idea but hated the product. Searching the web I came across GrimmGreen and AllAbouttheVapor on YouTube. After some quick research, I zeroed in on the 510 kit. Soon as I got it, I was sold. Quitting was never so easy for me.

Now I'm using a 5 volt USB Passthrough from Electro-Nic-Stix and vaping Marb USA Mix 24mg VG. Still looking for a tobacco I can settle in on. Anyway, glad I found a group to hook up with and I hope to see you all at the next meeting.

Congrats and welcome! For a good tobacco, you might consider this one: AR - Classic Tobacco - VaporFlow He has $3 ship and use code "ECF10" for 10% off. His flowbacco is nice too but this "Classic" is my absolute favorite plain tobacco.

The Organic tobacco at Vaperite is really good as his his Burley and some like his TG. he has others that he personally extracts too (in the Naturals line I think). His VR4 (his own adaptation of RY4) is awesome (as is his RY4). Vaperite has amazing juices - easily my top juice vendor and I get other stuff there too. Others of his you might enjoy are the Organic: Bananas Foster, Japanese Plum, Caramel Cream, Kona Cream (all awesome). Vaperite juices are super clean tasting and very tasty too.

Another good tobacco, for me, is the Tobacco from Tasty Vapor: www.tastyvapor.com

I am mostly into tobacco menthols and I really like Vaperite's "Menthol Maker" as it lets you choose the tobacco, menthol level, VG/PG base as well as nic MG. In that mix, I go for the Burley medium menthol at 12 mg.

Hope you find something in here that you like.
Once again, welcome and congrats to you and Tish for getting off the analogs (been 3 mos for me after 30 years on Newports).
