Considering the size of the V6... why not carry an eGo sized unit instead and get the higher battery capacity... of course it wouldn't be an auto battery then.

Myself ( as I've PM'd to Badkola )... I think find a company that would build a Robust style VW unit with a few variations... First let's see the Robust with an eGo next to it for size comparisons...

robust_1.png

1. Change the 510 only connector in the drip well .... to an eGo with a thread sleeve that can double as a drip well if only using a 510 type vaporizer, remove the sleeve to fit an eGo type vaporizer on it.

2. The current Robust is only capable of providing 2 amps of output. The AW 600mah 14500 IMR battery is capable of 4 amp, the eFest 700mah 14500 IMR is capable of 5.6 amp. So increase the amp output up to 3.5 amp ( lower than the max for the AW for safety purposes ). L-Rider has always been reluctant to increase their outputs on their devices they put out... so another company would likely be a better choice for that reason, not to mention the recent shipment issues that GV is having with them as another good reason to source it elsewhere.

3. Instead of just a variable voltage output... include a variable wattage setting... using RMS as well. In fact, when the Robust was released, VW had already become popular with many... again L-Rider hasn't been very forward looking in this area either.

4. Locate the fire button above the screen or on the top opposite the screen so more of the PV is concealed in the hand. Retain the two adjustment buttons... but place them below the screen so you don't cover the screen with your fingers while changing or reading settings.

5. Provide a tube extension option so the higher capacity 14650's could be used if someone needed the additional vape time available.

6. Optionally, use an OLED screen so the output ( voltage and wattage ), ohms and remaining battery life all show at the same time. If this is used it would provide another possible option, drop the two adjustment buttons for a twist ring since the buttons wouldn't have a dual purpose any longer.

I like all of these ideas except the button operation is simpler than anything else I have (also more convenient than changing some crap in menus and then firing it again just to see res or such). IDK if all the information would fit on an oled screen small enough for this unit so keeping the buttons the way they are could make more sense. I originally would have asked for a way to lock the settings but I haven't ever had any problems with it changing settings by itself and my unit on a lanyard gets knocked around and pressed on all sorts of ways and nothing ever changed itself so that might not be necessary. Don't think I would like the twist ring and personally don't use vw so its good the way it is but turn up the power :D yea baby! I tend to hit the button with my middle finger to vape and if I am changing settings I turn it around and use my thumb on the button and index on the little ones so the screen isn't covered. I love the idea of the ego connector with removable thread cover though ;);)
