I worked down by the river for a few years, in the downtown area.
A nice lady came in half soaked one day, from the waist down.
This was not a regular thing, the water is too dirty for swimming, and the fishing is terrible.
I asked why she was yet, and she said...
"My dog went in the water to chase a duck, and I had to go in after her. Yea, she's a little Shih Tzu"
True story.

Edit: No offense, my dog's breed has an even easier name to make jokes with.

there is a very good reason she went in after the dog...if it was in full coat. All that hair holds so much water it weighs them down and though they can swim...they will pulled under by the weight of it and drown. Shih Tzu are not a wash and let air dry dog....their coat has to be blown dry because of the sheer thickness and volume of it. Another thing you may not know....they don't have fur, like most breeds. They have hair...and it will continue to grow to very long lengths. The fact that they don't have fur, but hair instead, makes them a very good dog for people with allergies.

not to worry....not offended...:D

I wish my dog had hair, he seems to blow his coat every 3 months even in winter.
The fur on the floor does make it easier to find scorpions, they get fluffy.

I have a SharCat, Shar Pei/Cattle dog. Cool name, but I doubt he would like it.
I don't think he would like a shark, and I know he doesn't like cats.

New to contests on the ecf seems like a great place to meet people.

Welcome to the GV nutz house and contests..:D

Next time you pick numbers....please include the round number. Each contest will run for more than one round...or reset...and we need that to help both you and us identify which rounds you've played in. If you'll hang around for a few minutes....I'll bring up the guidelines for our contests.
