New WHO FCTC position paper for COP7

The TC terror network HQ has published their "updated" position on vaping (which they keep calling ENDS/ENNDS for some reason). It's basically the same as the prior position excreted by COP6, with a few tiny concessions that vaping will not immediately kill your children or turn never-smokers into zombies. Still a grotesque tyrannical hate manifesto, do give it a read.

This disgusts me more than I can properly express. For years it's been "vaping is bad because nicotine will hook the next generation of addicts." Now, since it's becoming apparent that teens aren't interested in the nic per se, and, nicotine itself isn't all that addictive, they're switching gears again...

Disgusting, but not unexpected. They've been "moving the goal posts" since the inception of TC to keep themselves relevant and employed. This tactic is par for the course.

definitely not unexpected, it just amazes me that people like this can say these things, with straight faces.

Need to keep in mind who the chair is and where she's from.

Tobacco in China is pretty much owned lock, stock and barrel by the government there.

They consider it reasonable to ASSUME that the increased concentration of toxicants from second-hand vapor over background levels poses an increased risk for the health to bystanders

but...

They cannot DETERMINE whether ENDS actually helps anyone quit.
