Not really a resolution, but didn't know where else to put this. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

On another forum I frequent that has nothing to do with vaping, I posted in an off-topic thread and asked if anyone vaped and etc. And the first guy who answered said he despised vaping. Then he went on to actually give me some "tips' on how to quit, such as nicotine gum or patches. He also went on to say he is a recovering alcoholic and used to dip for 15 years and quit cold turkey.

I'm like ummm really? lol. Just another ..... who doesn't understand vaping and obviously thinks it terrible for you. Ugh

In July my 20 yr old daughter turned me onto low wattage subohm vaping, Aug 12th I went cold turkey and only have vaped (5 months woot woot), Thanksgiving my son came in with a Vuse. So in the last 5 months, a lot of vape gear has been passed between us, either bought or given to and tried.

Since I have no need to resolve to quitting, my goals are to find the perfect single coil RBAs for flavor, 1 RTA for flavor, perfect coil building for low/med wattage for flavor and juice plus battery saving consumption, buy a couple squonkers, and finally learn to DIY juice.

Learning to DIY juice will ensure little money spent, but mostly to make sure my son and daughter are never without! So it's not just about me... I can't wait to teach the offspring about RDAs after I learn enough.

I've struggling with "something" like depression, but I'm not. Stressed yes, depressed no. I've read up on WTAs and seriously wonder if I should try them? Seems WTA are higher nic MG and half my e-liqs are 0mg. I hope by years end that next year's goals/ resolutions has absolutely nothing to do with nicotine or vaping,, as having perfected it all. To move on to something like loosing weight or learning a foreign language lolol. Ohhh! Maybe start a vape blog?

So much to do and ONLY 355 days left!!!

If you feel like you are headed to stressed/depressed, I'd say WTA juices MIGHT help you. It's probably your brain adjusting to the lack of MAOI A and B action that's in alkaloids (and even tar, although I seriously don't recommend returning to smoking). You can get low nic wholesale WTA, I think umbavape will sell it low, like 3 mg nic.

With that said, I'd probably have a hard time bouncing around from 0 nic to some nic. Why not pick a strength to just go with? I mean, nicotine is a stimulant as well and has some antidepressant action, so it's possible that all the bouncing around might be stressing out your brain as well.

I will say also, that in terms of adjusting to your brain's homeostasis, picking up WTA may delay that depression/stress feeling, but it will also keep your brain in that cycle, versus detoxing fully and letting your brain adjust to normalcy. A lot of quit smoking drugs are actually antidepressants first... Like Zyban, that's a "quitting" drug that's really an AD.

Also (probably unpopularly for you) nicotine is a stimulant so why wait to start exercise/weight loss for when it will actually be HARDER, and you will be gaining weight more easily? Exercise IS a powerful antidepressant, probably best not to wait to start it until you are at your lowest?

Just my thoughts, as always. I am injured right now which never happens, and I find myself super cranky without my daily endorphin rush....

Good luck with whatever you decide.

@stols001 it' a long drawn out story, but I have a gym membership. I've tried everything over the years OTC and script. Subohm was the winning ticket it seems. Right stuff at the right time.

Why 0nic? I started on 3mg and have begun to taste the nic in it, so started buying 0mg. I layer each through the day so it is not shocking to my system. Due to the time of the year, I haven't had the $ to buy a lot of 0mg yet. I think though I may need to settle at 1.5 if I can find it in juices I like or DIY with help from ELR. Still trying to figure out what would be best.

This "whatever" is keeping me from gym, had to adjust meds to accommodate the effects of loss of smoking and how my body is reacting to it. It's a balancing act for me and I recognize it for what it is. I was forewarned in part by a DR. of mine, what could happen by quitting in relation to my meds and how my liver metabolizes them. Im kinda caught up in a mental/physical warfare I suppose and just have to ride the waves. It will pass and not 1 analog will touch my lips. I've come to far to even consider looking back. Funny thing is I don't really have Cravings per se, vaping totally keeps that away. This "thing" is my brain/body at war and every day that passes I'm winning the battles. Especially with the help of forums and people like you. So thank you for the encouragement!

I beat the hell out of myself this morning over screwing up and forgetting an appt we had at 8am. My memory and clear headedness really took a hit quitting. Geeeesus, what the hell are in cigarettes!!! Some days I truly feel lost or confused,, meh, so I watch Utube or Netflix to ignore it. It'll pass, it'll pass, it'll pass!

Well, if finances are an issue, not sure if WTA would be the way to go. I'd say maybe DIY would be a good bet and keeping your nic somewhat level (even if at 1.5) until the rest of the detox goes away.... Good luck, nicotine is a brain organizer and as a person with ADHD, it's not my supreme goal to go without it. It has some benefits as well as downsides.

With that said, if a person gives up cigarettes or even nic, either one of two things happen a) brain returns to homeostasis and all is well or b) an underlying depression/lack of focus shows itself and doesn't go away. There are plenty of quitters I know who did fine, and then quitters that require something be it an antidepressant or something for focus. Smoking treated the underlying condition (which can manifest in adolescence or early adulthood) and it's not picked up on until cigarettes are gone.

With that said I am not a doctor and yours sounds knowledgeable so if it persists it might be worth talking to your doc about.... How long has it been since you lowered your nic and the "blahs" showed up? Those would be the questions I would be asking myself.

Thankfully, since I told myself that if I *got* to vaping alone, I wouldn't put much pressure on myself to reduce nic (and Alzheimer's runs in our family, also so do heart attacks) because frankly, getting to Vaping Only is Good Enough for Me. I think I'd probably have to vape 50 mg/ml to give myself nic overload given I used to smoke 3 pp/d.

I really hope it gets sorted out whatever is going on!

@BL - WTA definitely helped me get over the roughest part when I made the switch to vaping 100%. Back in those days, the gear wasn't great and I had to vape 24mg to arrest the cravings, but WTA LIFTED my spirit...enough to allow me to cut the nic. It took about 2 years, but my body naturally acclimated (and preferred) 6mg. I have gone down to 0mg, but I function better with 3 - 6mg.

I haven't used WTA in years, but I'm curious about what effect it might have for me. The suppliers I used are out of business now, so I'm wondering: Does anybody have a good recommendation for a WTA supplier with low nic levels?

BTW - I'm really proud of ALL of you for dropping the smokes! We'll live longer and better as a result! Keep it up. :)

Keep working on building and using pre built and and rolls of coils that use different metals (I hate kanthol coils, they are so dull, they make great Clapton coil builds though), with the two rta atomizer I already have (Kangertech rta, and Innoken Ares rta) and avoiding buying every new rta that comes on the market. Although in the case of buying an Ares (Phil Busardo invention), I found a really good atomizer.

I need to finish bottles of juice before buying more. I just want to try them all!

I have 5 open bottles right now. Plus 2 new bottles of flakd(pistachio baklava) @ home and 4 more @ the vape shop on hold lol. the stuff is amazing.

3 months now w/o a single cig and I can honestly say I'll never smoke a cig again.
subohming 3mg and mtling 30mg salts at work is perfect for me. I've spent way more on vaping at this point then I would have smoking but it's so worth it.

Great! I was thinking yesterday about how much I spent each month approx $200. So if I allow my self to spend $100 per month on whatever for awhile I still come out ahead and I'm not smoking.

Well done bro...its never about when you fall, its about how you get up...!!!
Vaping is all about seeking the right juice and having the right devices. When that comes together, the magic really happens...keep on keeping on
