Note: From SXi-Q Upgrade Instruction:

*Attention, please remove the atomizer from SXmini ML Class device before upgrade, otherwise the device will be damaged

Well spotted & Thanks

I just jump in with both feet expecting things to work how I predict & don't read until they don't :w00t:

Anyone else having trouble getting the site to load?

Yea I cant get to the site either, getting time outs. I did download the logo changer file earlier but just now attempted to decompress it and it shows as a corrupted file so haven't been able to look at it yet. I was sent updated firmware for the bug we found earlier and some others and so far looks good.

Watched Dirk Oberhaus' temperature test of the ML. Doesn't seem to be very accurate, reached almost 400c when set to 230c.

His testing was in error. He bent and shorted the coil with his temp probe. Watch the coil turn black on the left side while the right side stays normal color at the 55 min mark.

True, didn't notice that. However, the cotton was quite badly schorched in the non-temp probe tests. Around the 53 min mark. Not as bad with titanium as with ss304 and ni200. And around the 58 min marked when he's testing titanium the temperature is about 50-60c lower than what the ML screen is showing.

If he can upload a video showing he shorted the coil with out noticing

Is it reasonable to wonder if he managed to lock in the resistance correctly

Could be, but a bit weird if he did that on all three coils. The M class has tested very accurately though, hasn't it, so perhaps Oberhaus is testing the ML wrong.

I didn't watch the whole video as I don't understand his language. I searched for what you had referenced and that was about it. But if he could make a basic mistake like that with the probe it brings in question the rest of his testing methodology and results. I haven't done a cotton burn test yet on the ML as the temps I've set for my attys vape basically exactly the same at the same power and temp settings when moving them between the M and the ML. I may do that later on just for SAG if I feel like it. Otherwise I'll be waiting for a review in English version that I can understand. :)

Edit: To add to this I've previously seen some of his reviews and have always had a question that I've never understood. How can one determine correct true output when only measuring one variable "Voltage True RMS" and all other variables being calculated? To the best of my knowledge it's impossible.

In his charts he always shows
Adjusted Power
Calculated Resistance
Indicated Voltage
Measured Voltage True RMS
Calculated Current
Calculated Power

I don't understand German either, not well at least :) In any case, accuracy doesn't mean much to me anyway. As long as a device is consistent all's fine.

Don't understand German either and didn't watch the whole video either but paid a bit of attention to the Power Check section starting at about 35:50. Then I looked at the ML power data Pbusardo posted on Taste Your Juice. Will be beneficial to see Pbusardo's final ML review when he gets a working ML and posts the updated review.

I never noticed that instruction. I left my tank on and the upgrade went well. I'll be sure to remove for future upgrades.
