Hey all,

First wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for the help their information has given me, as I have browsed the forum for a couple of weeks before joining. You all have opened my eyes to the very large world of vaping that I was unaware existed until recently. I smoked close to a pack a day for approximately 13 years and have finally been able to give up cigarettes with an e cig. It is so nice knowing that I don't smell like an ash tray anymore. My current, and only, PV is a KR808 I bought a while back (got suckered in by V2 and now realize I spent way too much) and am now using the batteries with Bloog Maxx Fusion cartos. I am enjoying the flavor and throat hit this combo provides but have gotten tired of constantly charging short lived batteries.
So here's where I need help. I want to purchase a "fat battery" e cig but am unsure as to which to purchase. There are so many options, and I am a bit overwhelmed by it all. I see how recommended the Ego and Riva are, but I have no experience with any 510 devices. How do they compare to the KR808's in terms of vapor production, TH, and flavor? I have also been researching the IGO as an 808 fat battery and have interest in this device as well. Now I see this new KR808-DM1/Elite 808.
Any help, thoughts, and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
KR808 vs. 510 ?
Ego/Riva vs. Igo vs. Elite 808 ?

I know this is probably long winded, but I appreciate any and all input. Thanks!!!

WELCOME TO THE ECF AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUCCESS

Well, a fat bat would definitely be a step up from where your at, at this point. If you were to get, lets say a 1100 mah KGO than it will last you for about 8 hrs depending on how heavily it is used or what's being used on it. The vapor production and TH might be an improvement for you. Really depends on the carto, atty, and juice that's being used.

The Ego on the other hand will give you 3.4 volts regulated. Which means that it will stay at 3.4V until it dies on you while something like a Riva or Kgo will begin at either 3.7 or 4V and steadily loose their voltage as the power is decreasing.

Ease of use will be similar if you use a 510 carto with it. You fill it out the same way, screw it on, and vape away. Easy as pie and the big batts are also considered "beginner" type pv's. So, you shouldn't have a problem with it at all. The biggest advantage of the big batt/510 is versatility as you will be able to use an array of atties and cartos with it as well as tanks. This will give you the opportunity to see what you really like.

Haven't had any experience with the Elite 808 but it has gotten rave reviews for it's looks and performance. Might be a viable option for you since you seem to like 808's.

...I don't have any experience with the 808's or other small form factor PV's cause I came here first and did a bunch of reasearch which led me to Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510 ...the Riva510 Lite kits(bought 2 of 'em)...if you go that way, don't overlook the 20% discount button on the top left of the LF site...I added some eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartos and some Boge 2.0's from Crystal Clear Vaping ...love 'em all!!!!! However, I am now looking at the E-Power setup, similar to the Rivas(a bit larger), mainly because of their superior(and cheaper) batteries.......

Well, instead of wasting time and money to discover that mods are the best thing you can get, Get a mod! :p if your a big carto fan or dont mind dripping (best taste) get something like the prodigy 3.1 found at Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online - USA Electronic Cigarettes, E Cigarette Kits, Cartridges, eLiquid <meta name="google-site-verification" content="SSgkbLlwlWuvKWeOXbuDTrw3Oy29md2PvsfFoD7uluQ" /> Or get a badass bottom feeder reosmods.com the reo grand holds a 6ml juice bottle (prolly 5days of vaping) with a 510 conection (can get an adapter if you want to use others) and uses an 18650 battery (3.7 volts, lasts a couple days before u need to charge) or you can stack 2 3volt batterys for 6volt vaping.

If you got the money, Get both!, they are both amazing mods. I mean sure egos are great..but they got nothing on the above mentioned :p

I don't know about the 808 but I can point you in the right direction if you're looking for the best place to buy an eGo kit.

At Liberty-Flights.com you can get a complete 2 device kit for about $43 (with shipping) if you use the 20% off discount code which is: october20

Hope that helps.

the guys above me all mentioned great starter devices. my suggestion would be the T-rex 1100mAh
its the only one out of all the ego/riva/kgo/blah blah blah line that comes off the charger at around 4volts and sits around 3.7v until dropping to its lowest 3.4volts.
go with the T-rex! trust me you wont be dissapointed.
Steel T-Rex - 1100mAh Starter Kit - e-Vape Kits $41
comes with:
* 2x Steel 1100mAh Batteries
* 1x 510 Atomizer
* 1x LR 510 Atomizer

Thanks for such a quick response and the input! Unfortunately, finances prevent me from going all in and buying the best of the best, or buying more than one pv at this time. I would love to try them all. I am partial to cartomizers at this time due to the convenience and portability. I drive a lot for my job and dripping on the road would spell a disaster of spilled juice or a traffic accident. I know there are 510 cartos available. Anyone have any clue as to how they compare to the Bloog MF 808s? As far as I can see, a battery is a battery. Regulated 3.7v provides the same hit regardless of the threading, the same with unregulated. If 510 cartos are as good or better than 808, then a true 3.7v 510 battery would give me the same experience as an 808. Am I correct in this? I know I want to go at least 650 mah, use cartos, have good flavor and throat hit, and decent vapor production. There are just so many options. Thanks again for all your help. The search continues.....

I hate to say it but until you find what works for you personally you will end up spending anything on something that will hopefully be the thing that works for you. If you're extremely lucky you will find something that works for you real quick and you should stick with it and not allow any of us to suggest any more shiny new things for you to try. But, as you can see here on the ECF that will be nearly impossible to do. Welcome, and I truly wish you good luck in your search.

P.S. - If your KR808 is working for you do your best to stick with just it as the rest of us are now broke, or really close to it, and can barely afford the nic juice attys/cartos and spare batteries we need to stay away from tobacco.

Why stay with the small 3.7 volt device? Get a good 5 volt or variable volt PV and it will give you long battery time and warmer vapor. I'm a heavy vaper and I get 21+ hours on a charge with my PV.

I would look at the 5 volt GLV 2 and the variable volt Darwin which is what I use. Both have either lifetime or 2 year warranties unlike the other models suggested.
