Personal preference for the most part. In terms of style, performance, capacity and maintenance. Aside from looks, does it provide the flavor and vapor production to get the job done? Does it hold enough juice that you find satisfactory? Are you comfortable with maintenance routines of funding new coils or having to build your own?

Lots of folks find themselves needing more than one for backup, flavors, etc. and like to try new things.
btw - the Nautilus mini performs very well.

I have a Itaste clk. Straight out of the box. What is the point to changing the type of tank/clearomizer? Hopefully this is not the dumbest question ever. I see people talking about Nautilus mini, Protank mini, etc... Still learning:confused:

Not dumb at all, mostly just peoples preference :)

    Welcome to ECF jett!

    Hi,

I vaped in the beginning in a standard BDC clearomizer. Bought an iClear i30. Huge difference. Bought a KangeTech Aerotank and the difference was even larger. Now i vape with a diver v2 in a Loki tank and it is divine ... warm (not hot) vape. To be honest vaping is not simulating tobacco. It is superior when you buy the high-end gear.

I think it's partly trying to find the "perfect vape" and partly having "shiny-itis." I finally found one I really like, so I have lots just sitting around. I still vape them (I don't want to be wasteful), but after a few drags I back to my favorite.

I thought the same thing when I first started vaping with V2 cigs and I didn't know any better and I thought their clearomizer was like the most revolutionary thing on the e cig market lol . But there's a lot of differences between the tanks. Like there's a rebuildable tank called the Big Buddha and it holds something like 10ml of juice. There's some tanks that you can rebuild (make your own coils) like the Kayfun and Russian 91%. I personally love my Kayfun Lite Plus 2. I get great flavor and good vapor production from it with a 1 ohm coil. Tanks.jpg Left to right I have a iClear30S, iClear30, Kayfun Lite Plus 2, and Kanger Aerotank 2.

Not a dumb question at all. It looks like you can use ego or 510 toppers on the Clk. The different styles and brands can have different ease of draw, flavor profiles and appearance. Since the clk has a fairly small battery and range of adjustment you probably don't want dual coils at this time. They have a slightly better flavor and amount of vapor, and use a lot more battery power and liquid.

If you want to try some variety I would recommend a Kanger Mini Protank 2 (not 3, that's a dual coil) or Evod, or, to try a top wick you might want to try a Vivi Nova. For the "latest and greatest" you could also try a Mini Nautilus. You could also go to a full sized Protank, which would work well but would be kind of top heavy if that look would bother you. I'm adding a picture of my iTaste VV v3 with a full sized Anyvape Davide (also a good topper) so you can see the sizes.

There are also cartomizers (cartos) and carto tanks. I personally don't like them, but they have a lot of fans, and I'm sure some of them will be along to let you know about those.

    Welcome Jett :)

Having different toppers from which to choose to me is like a buffet. Some days you're in the mood for steak. Sometimes you're in the mood for seafood, and sometimes you just want a salad. Different toppers allow for different vaping experiences. All depends on what you're after.

You might be perfectly happy with what you have - that's perfectly o.k. I like my EVOD tanks because they're quick and easy (and relatively inexpensive.) I like my kayfun clones because I like playing with building coils (which I also do for my EVODs.) I like my Nautiluses because they hold a large volume of juice, and so far, they're working quite well for me.

Just depends on my "appetite" for the day...
