First off, I want to say hey to everyone in the forum!!! I love forums since they are a great place for information. So i have read many threads and would like clarification on some facts that have been posted.

Im a vape newb, been buying the disposible Lava smokes to try out vaping. With that said here is where I was leaning to and where I am now and have a few questions.

First off I was leaning toward V2 because of the convenience of cartomizers and the starter kits. After reading alot of reviews, seems like a decent product but issues with customer service and shipping turned me off. So I read many reviews on the forums and the Joy510 looked appealing, for 2 reasons. One for compatabilty/mods and the positive reviews. One of the main buying points is it must look like a real cig (white w/ a tan filter).

The questions I have are as follows.

1. If I buy the Joye510 or any 510 for that matter are any 501 atty's or cartomizers compatible?
2. I plan on getting me and my girlfriend kits and she's not one to have to change things out or add juice and she would probably want cartomizers. So are all 501's compatible with drip tips or cartomizers?
3. Drip tips, they look easy to maintain, is it cheaper or better than a cartomizer? I'm looking for low maintenance for my girlfriend and will pay more for convenience for an all in 1 cartomizer if maintaining an atty is a big deal.
4. If I drip tip how many atty's should I have on hand?
5. Can you switch from drip tip/atty to caromizers easily?
6. I need a great website that has fast and reliable shipping.

I'm kinda of looking for an ecig that I can swap out drip tips for cartomizers at any time and need the pcc to boot since were always on the go (pcc is a major requirement). I was thinking of the 510, just looking for advice to see if i'm on the right track.

I am open to suggestions if you think the eJoy 510 is not the perfect fit.

Hey, your almost there, 510 is a popular connection for many mods, the thing to look at is battery size MAH, mille amp hours, thats what determines how long you can vape between charges, and how many batteries you must have. That said, there are high dollar devices and cheaper but still good devices, if your new and want an inexpensive yet durable long lasting ecig, try something like an ego or from hoosiersecigsupply, the Kgo, the kit is like $45 and he also sells dual coil carts so you can switch from an atomizer to a cartomizer at any time easily, and the options you wanted are there, its not very big but has an 1100 MAH battery which should give you an all day vape without recharging. If you want a larger device look at the silver bullet from altsmoke for about $85 plus batteries and charger.

I am also new so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.
I have 3 atomizers at the moment. Different kinds. Nice for dripping and testing juices.
I have about 10 cartomizers, and 20 on the way. I like being able to fill and go, for work. I drip at home where it is convenient. I can't be bothered at work. So i keep 3 or 4 flavored cartomizers for travel, for work etc.
1. For the record I have a Silver Bullet, and love it. Not sure of the Joye, so wont' comment on it. I wanted a long term battery device, and now have it.
2. Cartomizers are great cause you can fill and go, I would recommend having a way to keep several with you. Just my own thing, guessing many folks do this. Cartomizers and atomizers (with drip tips) are different. Recommend you spending some time on youtube searching both. Very helpful. And, many many hours around here in the forums.
3. Atomizers, as far as I am concerned are great for dripping, at the house, don't do outside the house. Cartridges, i have had no luck with. Maybe someone does. Look to the carto for that.
4. I have 3 currently. 1 reg. 2 low resistance (a whole world in itself-LOTS OF READING)
5. Screw off the top for atty, carto, etc, depending upon your preference. I only have 510 connections. ( yet again a whole nother world of info to read into)
6. I am too new to offer such things. There are a lot of dealers. I just don't feel comfortable giving a recommendation because i have only 2 or 3, and haven't done much business with them.

I have as a noob wished that I had watched Doc Vapors intro series was very helpful. It is a paid for ad basically, but it is very helpful, wish I had watched them before I spent money early on. Actually wished I had done a LOT more research before I dove in. It can be quite overwhelming.
You really cant do too much wrong, you will just spend money that you could have saved.
Keep reading, watching, and researching, PM me if ya want more info, but realize that I am very new to this as well.
Good luck )

Vid,

Let me give it a try on answering couple questions to the best of my knowledge,

1. Yes, cartomizers and atomizers with a 510 nomination are compatible. Both use the same male threads.
2. If you mean that drip tips can be used on either, yes they can. 510 Cartomizers do accept drip-tips.
3. Now, I'm thinking that you are saying a 510 atomizer and a 510 cartomizer. A drip tip is just an add on to help you "drip" your juice into the atomizer or cartomizer without having to take the original cap off. It adds an extreme convenient factor to dripping. Now if you are just starting to vape, I strongly recommend that not only your girlfriend, but also you, start on cartomizers instead of atomizers. They are much easier to maintain than a regular 510 atomizer in the beginning.
4. I always keep "at least" 5 atomizers and or cartomizers for emergencies. Only you gonna be able to tell how much you are vaping and how much you think it will be necessary to hold you for a while.
5. Yes, you can. Preferably go from a cartomizer to an atomizer. Again, easier to maintain and use in the beginning.
6. There are many. And I can assure you that 90% of the suppliers listed on the forum suppliers page are excellent people with fast shipping and an awesome customer service.

I hope it helps. At least a little :0)

Hey welcome to the vaping world and congrats! V2 is an 808D-1 and I have alot of them and like them alot. I use the XLs exclusively (as compared to the other sizes). I get best results with either an MF Style Jumbo Drippers, the brand new Vortex's, and Smokeless Image Volts as far as cartos go. I also have Riva 510's, a 650mah for dripping and a 1100 mah for cartos and dripping. I like the fact that the 808s are so slim. As far as vendors go on 808s - I've purchased from multiple(Vapor4Life, V2, Liberty Flights, LiteCig USA and Bloog) vendors and by far the performance I get is out of the Diamond Series XLs at V4L (and recently their XL manuals) are the best.

I think the 510 and 808s are probably neck and neck as far as popularity (for an introductory ecig) and it's really just a personal preference!

Going to reiterate here, cause I just had to clean up a mess, Dripping should be done at home.
Cartomizers are just soo much easier if you are taking to work,or wherever (outside home) and want a less hassle experience.
I found after some self arguing that dripping is necessary for sampling or experimenting, but carto's are just soo much easier for day to day use.

I havve to agree with you here. I use cartomizers most of the time but when i want to try a juice i go back to my attys and just vape a few drops.

1. If I buy the Joye510 or any 510 for that matter are any 501 atty's or cartomizers compatible?

First off yes and so is the 306 atomizer. However, DO NOT use low resistance on these little batteries. LR's will kill the batteries dead as in not able to recharge.

2. I plan on getting me and my girlfriend kits and she's not one to have to change things out or add juice and she would probably want cartomizers. So are all 501's compatible with drip tips or cartomizers?

Yes as long as it's stated 510. Drip tips can even be put on cartomizers. Nicer feel on the lips. Again, no low resistance or LR as it's sometimes referred too.

3. Drip tips, they look easy to maintain, is it cheaper or better than a cartomizer? I'm looking for low maintenance for my girlfriend and will pay more for convenience for an all in 1 cartomizer if maintaining an atty is a big deal.

I'm a carto queen. Cartomizers will be a lot easier for her. Get a 510/901 drip tip to go with it.

4. If I drip tip how many atty's should I have on hand?

At least have 4 on hand. You never know when one will die on you. Plus you need to keep them clean which is easy to do also. There is a ton of info and people's ways of doing this.

5. Can you switch from drip tip/atty to caromizers easily?

Yes, just pull it off one and push it onto the other.

6. I need a great website that has fast and reliable shipping.

***The 510 kit is great. Got me off cigs also but you'll quickly find that constantly rechargin batteries is going to be a PITA. Please consider an eGo or Riva as an alternative. You'll be wanting to upgrade fairly quick to a bigger battery in a short time. The Riva kit is only $30 and is 2 complete ecigs. Take a look at them at least. They are close to the size of a sharpie marker.

I also have to add to this to not use any Dual Coils on the smaller 510 batteries either. Otherwise explained very good and in good detail.
