Hey All,

I am ordering my device today (so Happy) have any of you started on a mod first, thats my plan...I don't care about it looking like a analog (hope it goes ok)

My wife is going to switch from analog too yippie lol

Let me know and also i'm torn between a BB or Silver Bullet...any cheaper good ones out there?

We have 4 kids, so money is tight.

Thanks All....

I did this because I didn't want to waste my money. I read this board for 2 weeks before my purchase. I bought a Silver Bullet as my first PV because some people are still using theirs 1 plus year later. I figure I might move on but at least I know that I will have something that will always work. I bought a backup epower 18650 for 25 bucks, it uses the same batteries and charger that I got with my SB, so now I have 2 mods that work very well, and will last me a good while, so I feel like I will save money in long run. I get LR cartos and it produces enough warmth for me to not want a analog what ever you do decide, good luck and welcome to ECF :)

I'm very familiar with the BB and Silver Bullet (see signature), I've seen the roughstack but have never used one. That being said I prefer the BB as it is a bit smaller then the SB, they both have very good battery life and are very durable - I am a clumsy person and have dropped and had them fly out of my purse more times than I can count. I'm sure you would be happy with either one. They use 510 connections so you shouldn't have any problems finding attys or cartos. Best luck with what ever MOD you decide to go with!

If you wanna vape all day on a single battery go with an 18650. If you don't mind changing once or twice a day a 14500 will do. I have both and the each have their uses. 14500's are quite a bit smaller so they're more portable and I use them when I'm out. At home I use 18650's because I don't have to mess with it at all, just keep dripping and charge my batt at the end of the day.

I've got an SB and an Omega, I prefer the SB. I've also got a Maxi Roughstack. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $$$ and get the SB if you decide you want an 18650 mod. It's a much better mod. When I bought the SB I checked out the BB's and they're excellent mods too (I'm close to Altsmoke so I drove there), I just wanted more runtime so I went with the SB. Personally I don't much care for the switch mechanism on the Omega, although it is all mechanical so there's less to go wrong with it.

There's cheaper 3.7v mods out there but few can compare to the SB or BB in build quality. Whatever you decide to go with make sure you get good batteries, they're the heart of your vaping experience and the wrong batt's can ruin it for you.

If you're really interested in checking out the BB and SB, Altsmoke has a storefront in New Philadelphia, Ohio so you could stop in and put your hands on both of them to see which one fits your needs. You're not too far away and it's always nice to talk with other vapers.
