I just figured I'd write down my experience as a new vaper.
My Brother turned me on to the whole vaping thing. He has a Volcano and absolutely loves it. He suggested I come to this wonderful forum to get some more info. I spent 2 whole days reading and asking questions. The people here were very friendly and I finally ended up ordering a Joye Ego kit from Liberty flights(LF), DIY gear from Freedom Smokes(MFS) and some juice from Vapor Bomb(VB). The DIY supplies and juice showed up on Thursday and The kit showed up on Monday.
NEWB ADVICE: Flavored 0mg Juice is not the same as DIY flavoring.
Unfortunately I had ordered the wrong juice. I will have to wait til next payday to put in another order for flavor or some actual flavored Nic juice. Not to be set back, I used one of the DIY Juice calculators and zeroed out the flavoring. Doing 25mg Nic, 5ml batches with 60mg Nic. That put it at about 2ml Nic and 3ml vg/pg. I used the Nic juice(2ml) and substituted the flavored juice I got for the vg/pg(3ml). Flavors aren't as strong as dripping the 0mg juice from VB, but I'll get by.
So initially I filled my carts up with my botched diy blueberry and took a few puffs. WOW! I knew right then that I had found a way to kick the analogs. After a few puffs however, the flavor changed and it tasted burnt
So I jumped on the forums again(this time on the wife's laptop (long story...power supply short....burnt motherboard etc etc). HERE I found a wonderful mod. Now the vapor just billows forth and I have been analog free since Monday at Noon!!
NEWB ADVICE:Take it easy the first day with your new Toy. Too much Nic gives you a headache.
My wife and I haven't smoked in the house since our daughter was born 4 years ago. We are relegated to slumming in the garage. Thanx to my Ego I can vape where i want to as long as it isn't around my daughter(still playin it smart). Only problem was, I was hitting it about every 10-15min and at 25mg strength I think I over did it the first night. Today has been good and I even mixed up some diy(still botched) menthol and Irish creme.
Although I have read that there is no lingering smell, I can smell blueberry, Irish Creme and menthol in my Mustache.
Only problem I see now is a compelling desire to DIY juice and try my hand at some Mods involving a pass-thru mini Hooka
