I have an E-Power which is similar in size to the kGo and I use the Smoktech 3.5ml tank. Ive never used the mini-sub tank so I cant compare the two, but I really like the 3.5ml Smoktech tank. It works great and is really cheap. Like I said Ive never used the mini-sub tank, but I have used a tank that has a plug on the side for filling and I actually prefer the tanks without them. I carry my E-power in my pocket and with the tanks that can be filled on the side, I could always feel the plug jabbing into my leg and the plug would always get caught on things. I much rather prefer a tank that is just smooth and you fill from the top, but thats just me.
The Smoktech tanks come with a pre-punched 1.5ohm dual coil carto in it and a drip tip. I dont like dual coils at all on lower voltages and think DCs are only good in the 4-5V range so I just took the DC out and never used it. I use the Ressurector cartos in my 3.5ml tank and they are awesome. Personally I think they are the best carto for a 3.7V PV and they give an awesome vape. Ive used Boges as well and personally prefer the Ressurectors, but again, thats me. The Ressurectors do work awesome though on the E-power and kGo and you should def try them, even just buy themselves.
While I dont like Dual-Coil cartos, I def prefer using dual-coil size tanks on E-Power/kGo sized PVs. The E-Power and kGo both arnt a real big PV and personally I just dont like how the shorter tanks that can use Boge cartos look. They are shorter, but their also alot fatter and I think they just look weird on E-Power/kGo sized PVs bc the tank has a considerably bigger diameter than the actual PV does, plus they make the PV awkwardly top-heavy. One of the reasons I got the 3.5ml Smoktech tank is because its not as fat as alot of other tanks and it looks good on E-Power/kGo/eGo/Riva size PVs. The tank is about the same diameter as the battery tube so it looks nice and it also fits easily in your pocket.
CCV and Hoosier both sell the tanks and also pre-punched cartos for the tanks. The Ressurectors are just a nickname and they are really the Smoktech 1.7ohm XL cartos. CCV sells the pre-punched Ressurectors, but you can also buy the pre-punched Smoktech 1.7ohm XL single coils from Hoosier which are the same thing. The work awesome in the tank and hit awesome on the E-Power and kGo. I dont know if you plan on carrying your kGo and tank in your pocket, but I carry my E-Power with the 3.5ml tank on it in my pocket constantly, and one of the other things I really like about the Smoktech tanks is that the pre-punched cartos have a metal base on the bottom. You dont have to use a carto that has a metal base, but it is nice bc the base doesnt let the tank slide down. The pre-punched cartos from both CCV and Hoosier have the metal base on them. One of the easiest ways to have any tank leak everywhere is to have the carto slide out of place. I carry my tanks in my pockets daily and its fairly easy for a carto to get pushed up or down in a tank when its in your pocket. I really like with the Smoktech tank you can buy cartos that have that metal base, and then you dont have to worry about the carto in the tank getting pushed up and leaking everywhere inside your pocket.
I carry 2 3.5ml tanks in my pockets daily both filled with different juices. I leave one on my E-Power and the other fits nicely into that mini pocket on the right pocket of a pair of jeans bc its not fat. Ive never had any leaking issues and the tank works great. It doesnt have an opening on the side to fill it, but its still really easy to fill the Smoktech tanks. You just pop the drip tip off and push the carto down and you can easily add juice. Ive always used a syringe to fill my cartos even before I used tanks, so I just use the same syringe to fill the tanks which is super easy and with a syringe you just slide the carto down enough to fit the needle in, which is very little and that allows you to fill the tank to the top. Hoosier sells a syringe now that would be perfect to fill cartos or the tanks, but you dont have to use a syringe. Its just as easy to drip fill into the tank, you just need to slide the carto down alittle more. Then just angle the tank and drip into it.
In the end I think youd really like either tank. Their both cheap enough that if you really wanted to you could just get both! and if it were me thats what I would prob do.
As for drip tips, you can really use any drip tip and both tanks will come with a standard drip tip.
The drip dips that I use and find work great for tanks are the Big-Belly drip tips. Hoosier and CCV both sell them as well as other vendors and they come in a variety of colors and look really nice, plus are comfortable on your lips. The reason I really like them for tanks is because they have a slightly wider diameter than the carto, so they stop the tank from being able to slide up which is nice bc then theres less chance the tank will leak. I also really like them bc they fit really snug and will not wiggle or fall off when the tanks in your pocket. Between the big-belly drip tip and the metal base carto, the Smoktech tank cant slide up or down and I really like that since I always carry them in my pocket. You could also use the Big-Belly drip tips on the mini-sub tank too.
