Hey! Newber goober here that bought a smok Stick v8 as his first....(insert correct term here) and have a question about charging. The kit came with a micro USB charger to charge the 3.4V/.08 Amp battery but after about 10 minutes of charging the (battery?) gets fairly warm. Not hot necessarily but fairly warm. Definitely warm enough for me to be concerned and begin seeking advice from such lovely, experienced professionals as you all! The kit did not include any kind of wall charger, just a micro USB cord. The current charger I plug the main USB into is a 5V/1Amp wall charger. Am I just using a supply that is too hot for the smok Stick or is the temperature I'm experiencing considered normal? The battery for the V8 is 3000mah if I'm not mistaken. Sorry for being all over the place and thanks in advance for your responses!

For the mods I have with built in batteries, I also use a 1 Amp charger with no problems.

Some of them get warm but not hot. Also, they don't get any warmer that they normally do when I am using them for multiple puffs in a row.

Maybe that mod gets hot when charging. Hopefully someone with a Smok Stick V8 will chime in.

The charger is built into the mod, the wall wart is simply a power supply. A wall wart rated for a higher current than the mod requires is preferable. Check the manual, what does it say about charging? In all likelihood a 1 amp adapter should be sufficient though.

Thanks so much @djsvapour. As a now former smoker(fingers crossed)any advice to help put my mind at ease is much appreciated.
I went and borrowed a 'fat battery' mod from a fellow vaper and am charging it now to see what happens. My Subvod (1,300mAh) only gets a tiny bit warm but I've never had a fat tube with an inbuilt 18650.

I didn't know that about the charger. I went and looked at some USB power supplies but couldn't find anything below 2Amps. So, I should be cool with the 5V 1A power supply I'm using currently? The manual is bare bones and offers zero information about charging. It's basically a matchbook sized phamplet folded in thirds with step by step instructions on how to put it together. Oh...and a warranty card
