I'm thinking about ordering a starter kit for my husband to try.

I can state his most important requirement without even asking him - it must require as little fiddling with as possible. I'm reading instructions about how to get started with a 510, I believe it was, and I'm thinking, "He's never going to mess around with all that!" The "as little fiddling with as possible" would also include charging as infrequently as possible.

I'm pretty sure he'd want it to smoke as much like an analog as possible - I was reading about the differences in how you use an e-cig, but I'm not sure if that applies to all e-cigs or if some smoke more like an analog than others.

For myself, I'm interested in what vapors are the most nearly non-toxic (except for the nicotine, of course). I was looking at blu because it says its liquid is made in the US, but then I saw quite a few bad reviews of the company. I don't trust much of anything you put in your body that's made in China.

Also for myself, initial price is not relevant one way or another - from what I've seen, even the most expensive starter kit is a fraction of what he spends in a month on analogs. I'd be interested in the savings in ongoing supplies if he turns out to go for e-cigs, but his convenience is more of an issue than cost - the one thing I am positive of is that he will *not* do extensive fiddling around with the equipment.

Thanks!

Hi Ms_Vicki.
Welcome to ecf. The most convenient with the least fiddling is imo the Joye eG0-t. All he has to do is charge the battery, fill the tank and vape. Look at liberty-flights. They have good products and fast shipping and good cs. There is also a 20% discount. here is the link.

20% off your whole order!

The hardest part is finding a juice he will like.

i had pretty much the same requirement when i purchased my kit. i dug around on this forum (and other places but this one seemed the most helpful to me :D) i finally made up my mind and bought this VAPOR KING-Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic Kit (except i opted for the manual battery, but for the most "analog" feel the auto battery would be best. for the long "draw" though auto simply won't do!) anyway i've been vaping for 4 days now & loving it. kit is well rounded ( i love all the chargers, etc.!!) my biggest regret is that i didn't buy a big enough variety of flavors :D

I second the Vapor King if only because it's the only one I have. Got the same kit as you incantius (except I got the auto) and have enjoyed all 4 days I've had with it. I don't find the auto-pull particularly long and I've re-found the puff-skill I had when I used to smoke clove cigs, playing around with the smoke a bit before inhaling fully. Plus, order fulfillment & shipping times are fabulous.

Hope that helps Ms Vicki!

I agree with Vapor King but with manual battery. Problem is, you need to add juice to those cartos (unless you are rich and can afford to throw out possibly 2 or more per day). If you keep them damp with juice one can work well for several days. One possibility is to carry several and switch as soon as one seems a bit dry, before singeing it and ruining it, then refilling them at night. I recommend manual because autos are dependent on a drag sensor in the end of the battery. Juice drips that get to the sensor can make the battery unusable. Manuals KR8's (Vapor4Lfe) still have a hole there but are not dependent on a drag sensor.

It's a very easy ecig to use. 2 charged standard size batteries should last all day unless someone is a heavy vaper. There is a PCC for charging on the go. Every cartomizer has its own atomizer inside so no need to clean atomizers. The only part to get used to would be filling and cartomizers need juice less often.

Is he interested in quitting smoking?

Oh, Lord, no. He's only ever tried at all at my nagging. Reason the attempts failed (hypnosis once and some kind of wean-you-off electronic thing once) is that he really doesn't want to quit.

The only drawback from his point of view is the cost - he's been lucky enough to have no health effects as of yet (knock on wood), and he enjoys it.

(As much as I can understand enjoying something that I find so yucky. I learned to smoke, inhaling and all, for a play once, and was told I'd get hooked. NO WAY! I hated every second of it - six weeks as I recall, smoking on a regular basis to get used to it - and quit as soon as the play was over.)

BTW, thanks to all here for all the replies! I'm still working on reading all of them!

I happen to enjoy smoking also, but was thrilled to find an alternative that is much safer than inhaling the 4000 chemicals that are in cigarettes. Just tell him what ecigs really are. An alternate nic delivery system. He will get just as much, if not more, enjoyment from them as the analogs. I know I do. And I smoked analogs for over 40 years.

My Mr. isn't a smoker so I imagine he was in the same boat as you MsVicki. Saying that, he rather let me come along to the decision on my own... it's a big one. But then he knows I'm as stubborn as they come and it needs to be my idea to keep peace in the house. Maybe your Mr. is of a different cut (I'm sure mine wishes I was!!).
