Newbie, but moving up

Hey everyone!
Thank you for everyone's fast replies to my newbie post. Lots of good info. I think with enough research and looking around, I think I am going to go with the ego 510 or the 510-T. Comming from the Blu e cig, I think the ego will be a good upgrade for me. If anyone thinks I should go a different route or their opinions. I am looking for the best thing I can step up to in the world of vaping and every opinion counts!

As far as selecting between ego or ego tank system it's more about flavors. Are you a single flavor type of guy or many? With cartos/atty's on a normal ego it's a little easier to switch between them but requires more refilling and tinkering. The tank system is great for filling up and having it work for a day or more but switching flavors without blowing it out you have a shifting/mixing between them for a little while because there is still flavor in the wick/atty from the previous tank.

Since the eGo and the Riva are practically identical, you may want to look at the Liberyflights sales, the Riva is said to have a littel better battery life than the eGo brand from Joye. Otherwise they are the same, you can get the standard 650mah, or a 9-00 mah or even a 1100 mah batery for them, they are standard 510 so attys are no problem, adn you can use Low resistance atty's with them to simulate a 5volt experience. The upperleft corner of Libertyflight has 20% off soupon adn so the Riva costs like $29.00, very cheap compard to the $54-$59 other supplers ask for. Libertyflights is a AAA vendor, good product and serivce and quick delivery. Litecigsusa is also very good adn gignot, madvapes and others! Good luck and good choice!

An excellent and simple setup is an eGo or Riva kit with Boge brand cartomizers. Tanks have a tendency to leak and be flavorless IMO. With the cartomizers, load some up, put caps back on and toss them in your pocket. Great flavor, vapor, and throat hit without any leaking. They can be refilled and cleaned also.

For a very simple variable setup, madvapes carries a VV box for $35. Team that up with regular resistance atomizers or Boge cartomizers and it's a match made in Heaven. Set it to you flavor liking and vape away. Works just as well as the expensive variable volt mods that are out there.

I agree with both of the above posters.....As 36tinybells states....I hated the change the battery every hour thing with the 510.... the ego (or better yet Riva) will last much longer.... an hour and a half on a 510 for me, 6ish hours on my Riva...big difference.

Krimsondevil makes a very good point with the tank thing.... I like to change flavors somewhat frequently so I dont use my Ego T that much.... but if you are a single flavor person a tank is a good way to go..... cant recomend enough the battery life difference between the Ego/Riva and a standard 510 though.

oh most definitely the battery life of a 650mah or 900mah ego battery is atleast a day for me while a 510 is a few hours max. Plus with a 510 style battery it being such a low mah (usually 250 - 350) it's not recommended to use LR atty/cartos or things of that nature as it will hurt the battery. While a Ego batt can stand up to LRs a bit better.

Nothing wrong with an eGo or Riva, especially in comparison to a Blu. But there are many better battery options you might want to consider. A good 5 volt PV, such as the GLV2 would be a real "step up" in the quality of your vaping experience. Better consistency, throat hit and battery life than the eGo/Riva.

+1 to an ego, riva or t-rex carto kit. I've found getting kits for new vapers a lot easier with cartos. Be sure to get a drip tip too, a lot easier to take off and top off too. Then later on experiment with other components such as 510 lr atties, tank atties, etc. As someone trying to get off analogs, cartomizers are very easy to start out with

You might even check out the classifieds . Lots of mod's , that use , even longer lasting batteries , than the Ego types , and some can be had , fairly cheaply . And ego style batteries , do eventually fail . Replacing them , runs around 18.00 Where as the other batteries , cost btw. 5. and 10.00 , on average . Just my .02 worth . Don't get me wrong , Ego's or clones , like the Riva are nice upgrades , from the Blu .
