I am very interested in joining the vaping community.
I have been using my friend's KangerTech GeniTank Mini starter kit and I really enjoy the experience.

Before I continue, I'd like to prefix what I'm about to say by saying that I am really cheap and don't have lots of money to spend on vaping.

I have been searching around ...........com and have found some amazing deals for vapes.

Please write www(.)..........(.)com before each of the links

The first thing that I became interested in was the following:

item/MT3-EVOD-Starter-Kit-Blister-Card-Rechargable-650mAh-900mAh-1100mAh-EVOD-Battery-MT3-Atomizer-Clearomizer-Zipper/32221861453.html

I found this kit to be perfect because it included everything I needed (minus the e-liquid) in order to begin vaping.
As I started to do a little more research, I realized that all these parts that I was getting are FAKE and are a knockoff of a product by KangerTech.

Here is where my first question begins: #1 Has anyone ever had experience with buying a similar CHEAP replica such as the link I provided and what has your experience been with such a vape?

As I continued to become wary of the low price of the product I was buying, I was worried that it would be suffering highly in quality. I continued to search around the website and found a few parts for a more expensive setup:

&
/item/Wholesale-Vision-Spinner-2-II-1600mah-Battery-for-Electronic-Cigarette-E-Cigarette-Cig-Various-color-in/2030805683.html

Again, after doing further research, I found out that the vision spinner battery I would be purchasing is potentially fake. Here are when further questions arise.

#2 Is the Vision Spinner battery a clone/replica?

#3 If it is fake, how will the quality be compared to the original?

#4 Should I spend a mere $8 for the first order, spend a little more for the 2nd order or completely buy different parts?

Thank you to those that help with my decision process :)

Hello and welcome to the forum mikwerdna. Glad to have you here!:)

You know what they say, you get what you pay for. If you are interested in vaping to reduce/eliminate cigarettes I highly recommend get something reliable from a reputable supplier (not some $8 unknown clone).

Variable v/w (twist/spinner) is usually recommended over a "non variable v/w" battery. It allows you to adjust your settings to get a better "vape". Some flavors taste better at higher voltages than 3.7v

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery (with variable voltage). They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

I suggest buying only name brand Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner ego batteries. BTW, "ego" is merely a type of battery, not a brand name. Buying "generic" ego batteries is always going to be hit or miss...mostly miss.

You will need to purchase a tank (the juice attachment) with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass & all have adjustable airflow control) are very popular. The MVP Kit comes with a tank but it is not glass.

Why would you want a glass tank (you may be thinking to yourself)? Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid by ECF member Baditude: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

I have used both the mini Protank & the Protank v2 and have added the aircontrol base to them when Kanger first came out with the Aerotanks. I also have the Nautilus and have purchased the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils). They both work well, but the Nautilus does give better flavor over the "stock coils" that my Protanks use. However I do "rebuild and re-wick" all my single Kanger coils when they no longer work. That does help in the flavor department.

Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day:

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

PG/VG

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient.

The PG/VG ratio you use is a personal preference and may be dictated by the vendor whose juice you use. Many vendors offer you a choice of different ratios.

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.
