Hello, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and have taken away a lot of info from this forum so I figured I'd go ahead and jump in.

My story: Been smoking for over 20 years. Was on a long road trip where I couldn't smoke so I picked up a Blu disposable. I liked it well enough and wound up buying an NJoy disposable a little later. Liked it well enough and bought the NJoy refillable kit. Hated it. I don't know if it was just old kit or what but I could barely get any vapor off of it and what I did get made me choke. It is now in a landfill somewhere.

While I was on my road trip I was at a mall in VA and a guy with a vaping kiosk reeled me in and let me try out his ego setup. I was literally blown away. He tried to sell me the basic kit (one batt, one clearomizer, one charger) for $100. Luckily, I was short on cash because I was honestly tempted. So, I got home and like I do with most anything, I started researching and landed on this forum.

Honestly, there is a bit of a learning curve with this whole vaping thing. There's tons of new lingo that has to be figured out and a whole lot of different products to filter through. I finally settled on buying an Ego CE4 kit for a reasonable price for two reasons: 1) I had tried that setup and liked it, and 2) I was suffering from information overload and was tired of sorting through it all lol.

So, I placed an order with smoktek.com for a basic EGO setup, and extra clearomizer and two bottles of juice that should be arriving either tomorrow or Tuesday. In the meantime I bought a Blu starter kit which is okay. It isn't as nice as the disposable but I've gone from smoking a pack and a half a day to about 5 analog cigarettes or so.

Anyways, the plan is to try out the kit and if all checks out I'm going to get another batty, maybe another clearomizer or two and some other juices to try out.

Quick question for anyone who managed to make it through my meandering prose: Drip tip...it would be nice to have one to try out new juices from what I understand...I suppose I would need a separate atomizer to use it? If so, I have no idea which one I should get. Any suggestions?

Just a hi and a welcome! Other people with more knowledge than I have will come along and answer
any questions. =)
Thanks for the welcome. Also, saw your posts about the cheap disposables (the name of them escapes me right now though ). I'll probably be picking up some of those for emergency use.

Welcome to ECF your home away from home. I'll leave the dripping question to someone who actually drips.

Enjoy da ride.

Remember drink lots of water while Vapeing, and backups for your backups are your friends. Also if in doubt press the fire button on your PV

Also a Provari fixes everything. Just saying.

Yeah, I woke up this morning with some wicked cotton mouth so I've learned that one the hard way lol.

As for Provari...my funds restrain me for the time being, lol. If all goes well I imagine I'll go that route eventually. Vaping seems a lot like reloading ammunition. People ask if reloading saves you any money. While it is cheaper per round the most common answer is, "No, but I shoot a lot more now!"

Welcome from a fellow Nashvillean (is that how you spell it?)!

I haven't ever used drip tips, so the other guys can answer that for you, but congrats on quitting the cigs! Great to have you here on the forum.

Also, not sure what part of town you live in, but you should check out some of the B&M stores around town (my tablet just tried to autocorrect that to S&M...whole different shopping experience) if you haven't already. The guys over at Nashville Vapor on Charlotte are great and very knowledgeable + helpful. There's also a shop over on West End by Vandy that's nice, and there are ones on 8th and in Cool Springs, but I haven't made it over to those yet.

Again, welcome and congrats again!

For dripping, I'd go with a 510 atty, those fir on the ego batter too, so lots of choices, just whatever you like best. I like Phoenix rebuildables but, that's me, there are cheaper ones that you can't rebuild.

Okay, thanks. I guess I'll just pick up one or two to try out from wherever I order my extra battery and juices from. That should work out well since from what I understand the Blu kit I have is also 510. I might go ahead and order some empty carts while I'm at it.

Awesome! I'll definitely check those out. My local smoke shops just had Blus and were looking at me kind of wild eyed when I asked questions about vaping.
