From my readings...kgo seems to have an advantage on ego.
How do the kgo and smokeless image compare? Has anyone tried both??
Thanks for all of the help and suggestions!!

The main diff between Kgo and the MANY different versions of the Volt is threading. The Volt uses the less popular 808 threaded accessories while the Kgo uses the most common 510 threaded accessories. Although I've got other PVs I still use my Kgo on a regular basis.
Here's a Kgo review:

Effour, there are a lot of vape shops in LA. I would go to a few and check them out and then buy online. Go to a couple different ones cause they all carry different brands of juice. When you go in, they will let you "taste" as many juices as you want so you can find the perfect one for you.

I agree about finding a vape shop, and I definitely second the eGo. I also had a dismal experience with cigalikes (I fell for the "online free trial" scam). I live up in Modesto and there's only one vape shop here although there are several "smoke shops" (head shops for us older folks) that sell some vaping supplies. I'm starting to order some stuff online, but I think it's very important to support my local B&M.

You can get a very fine eGo system with cartomizers and a few varieties of juice for under $50. Use that for a while and then make a decision on where to go from there.

If I'm not mistaken, kGo is just a knockoff of the original eGo by joytech. Essentially they're both the same product though. I have used both smokeless image and eGo products for almost a year and I still use my smokeless image X2 over the majority of the batteries I have. Sure you could find more options to fit an eGo but smokeless image keeps it simple and easy and has never failed me.

Actually eGo was first manufactured for Janty by JoyTech. After they parted ways JoyTech proceeded to manufacture and sell their own eGo. eGo is now known as a class or style of PV/ Ecig.
JoyEch eGo
SLB Kgo
Smokek eGo
All very large and reputable companies.
As for the Volt a solid PV but accessory choices are limited.
The original JT eGo fires @ 3.3 volts while the Kgo fires @ 3.7 volts. If OP does buy the JoyTech eGo the JoyTech "Upgrade" model fires @ 3.7 volts.
