Good info here..

I had one of those "Upgraded" eGo C's as well.

I always ran it in the "white LED button" mode, or at 3.3V regulated. I never got the point of the unregulated "yellow LED button" mode.

For that device (in regulated mode), anywhere from 1.8 ohms to 2.4 ohms would be normal. I did try running mine bellow 1.6 ohms once and the eGo shut it self off. It was fine, I just cycled the five click on/off feature and it came back alive but I don't really recommend trying it. You will not get very much vapor out of a 2.8 ohm head on that device either, so your sweet spot is prob the 2.4 or 1.8 ohm head.

To be honest there are better tank style atomizers out there. I can't really give you a person recommendation but I know that Phil from TasteYourJuice.com still uses those type of atomizers as has reviewed a couple that he prefers to the Novas.

Yes, there are other nice heads, I like Kanger T3/Tabac BCC a lot, but as long as they come with changeable coils, they are all good. Some people prefer bottom coils, some swear by the top-coil models. My advice is, always, try a few different types. We are all different and we have different likes and dislikes. That's what makes vaping fun--all those choices!

Absolutely.

trying to have the "best" set up will drive a man in-sane. Vape what ever works.

I cut my teeth on Viva Nova Mini's; that and an eGo Twist pretty much solidified vaping for me. I did kinda hate them after a couple months; but then again, it was only because I tried the Novas that I advanced to mechanical mods and genesis style atomizer..

I am new to vaping also. I am lucky to have a great store here locally that loves to show you how everything works and lets you try everything out. I myself like the Kanger T3. It's a super simple unit. Basically fill it and go. If the atty goes bad you just unscrew it just like you do to fill it and put in a new one. They work real good too. Just one newbie to another, it is what I would recommend. I also like "B" type eGo tanks with low resistance atomizers. They work good on eGo batteries. Great vapor and hit. But if you haven't noticed already the choices are endless. I have been doing this for 30 days and I have already upgraded to an eGo twist battery to try out variable voltage. Loved being able to dial in what ever tank I was using. Liked it so much I ordered a Vamo and a few different tanks and cartos to try. It is a fun hobby. Better than smoking. I haven't smoked since Feb 28th, the day I bought my eGo kit. Even with all the money I have spent it is still less than my 2 pack a day smoking habit would of cost. I say just just enjoy, try new stuff, and read this forum. The answer to any question is here. If not just ask and you will get plenty of answers.
