hiya! let me preface by saying that i do intend to go through the different forums and the ECL, but i'm kinda looking for a quick answer ...

i'm researching for a friend (so her fiance won't see it on her computer, her smoking is a VERY sore subject between them) who is trying to quit smoking, using eCigs as a cessation aid (and i know they aren't marketed as such, due to FDA regs, but for her purposes, that's what she's using them for and as i'll get into later, it's pertinent to my overall request for info). she literally JUST got the njoy NPRO mini (menthol), and loves it, but would like to try other flavored cartridges. googling has turned up evidence that NJOY at one time had clove, vanilla, and apple flavored cartridges, but they don't carry them on their site anymore.

since she is using the eCigs as a cessation aid and not a long-term thing, getting into DIY liquids isn't really her thing, nor is buying several brands of the batteries and other components -- part of the reason she wants to quit is the long-term cost issues... even trying random brands of flavored cartridges and having them potentially not fit would not be cost effective.

so what we want to know is what other brands of cartridges, if any, will fit the NJOY NPRO mini batteries?

Thanks in advance! like i said, i will definitely be checking out other threads and info on the forum, but since there is SO much information to weed through, even when searching specific terms, i just hope i can get a quick and dirty answer ;)

Here are a few links found via Google. I'm sure a more experienced 4081'er would know and will point you in the right direction soon. For now, check out these:

eCigseJuice

Azsmokefree

eSmokeClub

Vaporfox

It doesn't look like many places carry pre-filled 4081s - probably because people just refill them.. idk.

Cheers.

I appreciate why your friend wants to do this and it's great that your helping her. I don't know anything about her or her smoking habits. If she wants to quit smoking using ecigs sometimes cheap kits don't cut it. In order to get off the cigs, in the beginning she's going to need something with enough power and enough nicotine for her to make the transition. If she just wants to sneak a smoke so her fiancee doesn't know, that's a different story.

Frankly if she can't even do a search on her own computer for fear of what her bf will say, she has bigger problems than what pv to buy. Quitting smoking is a difficult thing to do, and it probably doesn't help if you're around people that aren't supportive.

If what you're saying is accurate, that she wants to quit for the cost issue. She can get an ego for $30 and batteries last 8 hours. Buy and fill yourself is cheap.

The expensive route is what she's currently doing- using mini's and prefilled carts. Batteries and carts have to be replaced often.

A lot of the cheap "e-cigarette" things on the market aren't worth a damn. IMO, buying them won't help you quit, and is a waste of money. They simply don't work well enough to help someone who is addicted to smoking convert.

Better to spend a little more money and get a decent vaporizer. If it works (ie, if she moves off the cigs to the vaporizer) then the cost for the vaporizer will be quickly recovered from the savings on cigarette costs.

I don't think she needs to worry about DIY liquids. There are a whole bunch of flavors available that you can just order. That being said, vaping does require a bit more work than just lighting a cig. You have to refill cartridges or tanks, and you should have some extra parts around for your system (atomizers, cartridges, fluids) because none of it lasts forever, and you can't just pick it up at the local gas station like you can buy a pack of cigs.

And obviously, there is a learning curve. But you can almost always get a quick answer here on the forums, which helps with that.

RN4081 - not the best choice for a 2-piece with prefilled cartos but check the following places for prefills - Smokestik, Aquavaporcig, AZSmokeFree, VaporKings.com (and they have are probably the basic Chinese juice)

I started w/ RN4081. Durable atty. Batt not so good.

Joye306 atty much better IMO.

Decent slim ecigs are enough for some people. I only bought a big battery ecig when I got my nicotine down to 6mg and wanted to boost the hit sometimes. I still vape slim manual minis (Joye 510 and KR808D-1) most of the time. Manual ecigs generally make it easier to get a good hit and are less easily damaged or killed by juice leaks. But I now also carry a bigger fat battery as a backup since small slim batteries don't last long.

so we have decided to order from VaporKings for now, a 510 "White Diamond" (matte-black, crystal tipped... just because!), the universal USB key, and a pack each of the prefilled cartos in Menthol and Djarum Black (lowest nic in each). then, eventually, we'll get blank cartos and refill using ejuice, and we've found a TON of sites selling awesome flavors! and she'll also probably get and extra 501 manual battery. the White Diamond is auto, but that's ok. and the reason we're starting with the prefilled cartos is because the NPRO ones she has are almost done, and she finds she hits the analogs more when she's out of cartos and/or the battery is low/dead. so this way, she'll have immediate cartos to use while deciding where to order the blanks/juice from.

i looked into the 501 starter kits for her, but they all come with the atomizer/cart combos and prefilled carts of high-nic flavors she doesn't want. since she has no intention of messing with a 3part system, and the only reason she's willing to refill cartos is because of the range of ejuice flavors/nic strengths, this is the more cost-effective way for her to go...

we might play around with the NPRO battery and try some mods on it, and keep it as a spare until it dies. i just saw a mod on here where the "ash" was replaced with a crystal, so maybe we can do that, and replace the inner battery with something better? then, we can also play around with refillable cartos/ejuice on that one, for practice.

anyway, thanks for all the advice/suggestions! it's been very helpful, and we still have a LOT to learn and sort through...

oh, and to the person who voiced concern about my friend keeping this "habit" from her fiance and my doing the research/ordering for her... her fiance would definitely be supportive of her vaping as an effort to quit smoking, but it's just a sore subject all around, and the only thing that they don't really discuss.. he has a very high-stress job and it's better for their relationship that she do this with my support than stir up a hornet's nest with him. but we appreciate your concern! believe me, i'm a big believer in successful relationships being based on openness and honesty, but since i'm so close to this situation, i know it's the best option for her right now.

and i'm sure some of you out there won't believe this, but i SWEAR that by "my friend" i DO NOT mean "me" LOL!

I'll throw in my 2 cents here: I purchased an NJOY NPRO from the Pilot Travel Centers. I've experimented with it - I got it back in February this year when I first began vaping. I moved onto other PVs and always wanted to try their cartos out on my "OG Puck" PV. So yesterday I went back and got a pack of NJOY cartos - yah, they're expensive as hell, but I wanted to give them another try.
Sorry I did.
Vapour production is pretty weak. I've got 2 of them going right now. I slipped my needle in the center hole and added some of my own 50PG-50VG personal mixx e-juice in both of them and they work fairly decent. But I won't be buying any more of their cartos.
So anyways, why not look into some Thread Adapters for your NJOY NPRO? You can then vape absolutely anything you want to on it.
Only my experience and opinion.
