Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

Definitely check out the Aegis solo kit (comes with the Cerberus tank) as a back up as you will then have a cloud maker which may be nice given what you said about lungfuls of vape/smoke. The airflow control means you can ease it right back if you need to :)

Good luck and come straight over again if you have further questions.

Yeah, the resting is important with high drain. We abuse these batteries on the discharge l, so I try and pamper them otherwise. An hour or so is fine though, and I go through 2-3 3000maH cells a day, so two may be plenty for you, as you'll be vaping at much less wattage than I do.

As for pockatability, my biggest mod fits nicely in my jeans.

Just note coil life depends on a few factors. Obviously how much you vape in ml, volume, if you vape 2 ml a day it'll last longer than 5 ml a day. The amount you can vape is probably a better measure of coil longevity. The type of juice matters. Commercial sweet juices will gunk up a coil faster than say a make yourself juice with limited sweeteners. I'll assume you're buying commercial so that affects the calculation. Finally the power. Push a coil hard with more power than you really need will shorten the lifespan. The wattage ratings that are stamped on coils are very rough guidelines at best. It's not unusual to find a coil and tank work well for you below the "recommended" wattage, which is why determining that yourself is important.

As to sources in India I'm afraid I can't help, but perhaps others from the area may pop by with some tips.
I plan on vaping the same amount I smoke. Around 8 times a day for about 2 min. And yeah, I'll be buying commercial juices. While the thought of trying out all these different flavors is attractive, maybe I should start out with a tobacco flavored one? Until I'm sure I wont go back to smoking.
As for the wattage, I did read somewhere that it's best to start from a very low amount of power and gradually start increasing till I get the right amount of flavor and vapor. Either way I don't think I'll need too much power. As long as it can emulate the pull of a cigarette I'll be happy.

I DO have the Vaporesso Armor Pro. It's a sleek little beast of a mod with a good board. Easily pocketable! I am not generally an MTL vaper, but I have used the Innokin Zlide (the poorer cousin of the Zenith), and it is a fine MTL tank.

For the charger - especially if you're gonna go with the 21700 cells (highly recommended) - I don't think you'll find a better charger than the Enova Gyrfalcon All-44. I use the All-44 and the All-88 (which would be serious overkill for an individual with a single mod), and love them! I've used many others, but nothing else compares.

Speaking of single mods, I always recommend a backup. Not at first, but later on, you'll run into a situation where your primary mod quits or your primary tank has a burned coil or broken glass and it's gonna be a day or before you can get a replacement pieces parts. Having a backup can save you. I have backups for my backup's backup... I may have gone off the deep end LOL

Nothing more to say other than Ditto... you're getting lots of decent advice, here.

Thank you for the charger suggestion.
As for a backup, I'm still a college student in my final year of engineering. It'll be another 6-8 months or so before I get a full time job. Hopefully the mod'll hold out till then. How long do these things usually last?

Then you should be good to go. Don't be surprised or frustrated if the first tobacco style juice you try doesn't taste great. It can take a but to find what tastes best to you. If you have a local shop that offers sampling it's worth going just to try a few choices. Even if you pay more per bottle than say online, it will save you money on stuff that sounded good on the website but you find meh at best.

And if you end up going through a small amount of juice per day your coils will last longer. Still, depending where you live, it costs less than smoking. After the upfront mod, tank, and battery stuff it's just juice and coils. Even that can be overcome if one day you decide to get more involved and make your own juice (major cost savings but nit something I'd start out with day 1) and rebuildable tanks so you don't even have to buy the factory coils, you can make and maintain your own for pennies a day. Again, not for now, and maybe never, but it's good to know options do exist.

I have devices that are 6 and 7 years old. I also have had devices die in months. A lot will depend on how you care for it.

Just don't buy the brand SMOK. Also, you probably won't be able to find a "tobacco" flavor that tastes like a cigarette, so don't waste time or money looking for one.
LOL some of those old mods are Smok brands. Again, a lot will depend on how they're taken care of. Because Smok mods are relatively cheap, a lot of first time vapers start with Smok before they know how to properly care for their mods. They're charging internally through the USB port, they're using leaky tanks, and not cleaning properly, they're using the wrong batteries, they're dropped and abused.

I have an X-Cube II and an X-Cube Mini, an Alien, and many others still going.

Meanwhile, my Snowolf Mini died quickly. Several Joyetech eVic VTs croaked. An iPV D3 gave up the ghost. Several Kamry mods have shuffled off this mortal coil...

This is not an endorsement of Smok, nor is it a slam on other brands... It's just an observation...

I have three Zeniths they are one of the very few (3) drop in coil tanks I have decided to adopt as my own. I would start with the 1.6 or 0.8 coil. Some folks love that 0.8 coil but for me the 1.6 is where it is at. IDK why, vaping just is. You will have to experiment.

Varpresso is a solid mod company. Go with what appeals to you, it will make it easier.

Uh, as a person who has tried to go cold turkey from cigarettes several times and FAILED MISERABLY well, maybe all you need is the inhalation but I sort of doubt it/. You will immediately go into nic withdrawal. which it seems you did not cope with very well at all before. It may well turn you off vaping. If the placebo of "inhalation" worked for quitting cold turkey one could simply go outside and breathe some fresh air, deeply. I found (as a former "cold turkey" person) that did not work AT ALL.

Sure if you want tot try 0 nic fine but I would TOTALLY suggest a fairly high nic juice for the times you lose it. I hate to be defeatist but you may well "Lose it" and it won't be fun.

Most folks who are at 0 nic never smoked, or oh so gently (over a fairly lengthy period of time) sort of slowly reduced it.

Nicotine is a drug. Flavored 0 eliquid isn't. I'd advise you to keep that in mind.

And I am wishing you all the luck in the world! If you prove me wrong that is fantastic but I am a bit worried about your no nic plan

Anna
