Hello everyone,

I just received my puresmoker.com black mini and my sample pack of JC smoke juice and have been trying things out. As someone who doesn't smoke regular cigarettes, it's a new experience for me.

I've seen some threads around talking about sore throats and weird, oogy symptoms. What can I expect?
hello meliae.
why would you want to do this if you dont already smoke?
i really hope for your sake you got zero nicotine JC...even so,if you dont already smoke, youre crazy to do this...nobody can say this is safe to do...its untested...we dont have a clue how this will affect us long term...

some people get allergic symptoms to propylene glycol, which makes the vapor.it can give a sore throat and other symptoms...

First of all: if you dont smoke and really want something with nic, try nicorette gums. Starting smoking even with e cigs is IMHO not really a good idea; then again, its your choice and your resposibility so i wont say anything more.

All symptoms you've mentioned MIGHT happen, but they dont have to. Obviously more people will be asking for help after noticing them then telling everybody that they had nothing of sort. My point is, what you see on forums is not representative - symptoms might affect you, but they might not, if they do you are in minority, small minority judging by ECF forums content.

My own experience was nothing but positive, i had some withdrawal symptoms, but not as much as i expected. No allergies, no problems.
Let us know about your feelings toward e smoking.

My motives are a bit complicated, but in no small part are attributed to curiosity. I hope to introduce this to family members which are long time smokers, something I've been exposed to since I was a child. I would not, however, expose my family members to something I wasn't sure about, so I tried it myself.

I do have zero nicotine smoke juice, and I thank everyone for their concern. :)

So far, things are going okay for me.

Considering how untested this whole e-cigarette is, I would also advise not to get into it -even with 0 nic- mostly because you may start liking the act, and that is in itself an addiciton.

For those of us who smoke, the alternative is between something that we know for sure is unhealthy and this, which MAY be unhealthy but it is likely less so than cigarettes. So, your relatives who smoke are likely to get some benefit from e-cigarette, while you probably won't.

I personally did not get any weird symptom, except for a dry throat on the first couple of mornings, and very modest symptoms from getting less nicotine (I moved from 22 real ones to 4 real plus quite a lot of medium or low nic vaping). Others have had other symptoms, but they seem a minority. Be careful, and try not to give yourself an addiction....

Welcome onboard. This is a great forum, and I don't think that they require one to e-smoke to be on it (right?)

So, do I understand you right? The non burning tabacco smoker of the friends and family is the acting "Guinea pig" buying the ecig and trying it out?

Why not just research it and call some of the suppliers with your concerns?

Obviously curiousity killed the cat. Now you advertise that you have been drawn to buy a device and start a new habit.

Now I will put spin on this. If you were a new ecig user, which you are... and you said that you had a strong urge to try burning tabacco, but decided ecig vaping was safer than burning tabacco. I would almost go with that thought.

From what this newbie has learned...ecig safelty is still up in the air. It is so new there are no long term user data available. There are a few suppliers that give detailed lab results on the chemical make up of their products. These results seem to lean towards that their products are "okay" for us, or at least don't seem to pose as much as a risk as the burning tobacco cigs.

So, guess I am back to the question, What are you doing?

(kim, steps off her soap box, and shuts up, at least on this thread for a while...lol)
