Hmm you'll probably need someone more knowledgable than me to help you with that discrepancy. Could be gunk buildup on the coil? I really don't know just shooting from the hip.

Ah yeah. Thanks for the pics and all the advise! :) I'm going to drop into my vape shop tomorrow and see what they say.

Yeah wow thanks. I was thinking of switching to a rda. But wasn't too sure. Apparently they don't play too nice with the 30W iStick
An RDA can "play nice" with almost anything, even an eGo battery. If using a eGo style battery you would just need to make sure your build doesn't exceed the amp rating (typically 2.0A) of the battery. So any build 1.8Ω and higher would work.

Before variable v/w came out I use to run a Smok Dripper RDA on my eGo. I also had one (with drilled out airflow) that I ran at lower ohms (.8Ω) on my mechanicals. We use silica wicks back then.

Thanks lol interestingly I wanted the kangertech sub box mini but they were out of batteries so I went for the Eleaf :)

My rda's work perfectly fine for me at 15 watts.

I tried building my RTA down as low as .5, but I think that was too low. I don't know if one would consider 0.8 to be subohm, but I found that to work better within the iStick's wattage range. Usually I build about 1.1, and run it around 13-15 watts.

sub = below
sub-ohm = below 1 ohm

0.8 ohms is subohm
