PERFECT!!!!!! just don't get overwhelmed. my usual shop has 120 flavors and they keep getting new stuff in. start off simple try a few from each category fruity, tebacco, candy and see what you like. heck if its a cool friendly shop that's honest you might be able to get a nice deal on a starter kit if you havent bought the itaste yet. now that you have a feel for what this stuff cost's and what some of the tech is you wont be lost your first time in

Would this be a safe juice to try in the iClear 16? Also it states that the mix is 80% VG/20% PG unless otherwise specified. What results can I expect with this mix as opposed to having them mix 50/50?

So is menthol not an option with the plastic?

Probably not, if you vape menthol for 10 years in plastic.

It's just like with food; drinking out of a plastic cup and eating off plastic plates with plastic spoons isn't going to make you sick in a few days, weeks, probably months. It's the long term you have to look at.

So you got some plastic tanks already to start with; use em; but keep in mind for the longer term you're going to want a good glass tank.

Haha I will try not to be overwhelmed. In fact I think strictly shopping online is more overwhelming as you miss out on the physical experience.

I am going to call tomorrow to see if they have the iTaste as I have decided this is the one I want. I figure I'll use up the 5 iClears first then upgrade to glass/pyrex after that way I don't have any limitations or restrictions. Plus I've read their prices are competitive with those online and who knows, I may strike a deal! I will definitely keep you all posted. Thanks again for your help and patience!

I had an opportunity to visit the B&M location near me and what an excellent experience! The owner spent about 45 minutes answering my questions and provided me with a complete understanding of what I need to accomplish my goals. I also spent quite a bit of time trying out some juices some of which are his own blend. I ended up purchasing 3 10 ml bottles. I got haze (a hazelnut blend not to be confused with anything else lol), honey dew melon, and Italian cheesecake. Honestly there were so many flavors I likes that I could have bought a whole lot more but I restrained myself. I figured these three will get me started and I will have the opportunity to get more once I get going.

My only disappointment was the price of the VV V3 at his shop. He would not reduce the price to be competitive with the pricing I have seen online. His price was $30 more than what I can purchase online for so I did not purchase the unit while I was there. The pricing of his juices and coils were competitive however so at least there is a place local for me to acquire these items. Other than that this was a great experience and I am happy that I found them online and plan to visit regularly. I did get a hands on experience with the VV V3 and this was what I got use to use for my "taste testing" and I definitely like this unit.

I plan to order my VV V3 online today.

Cool that is what I figured.

I actually just found a shop that is about 20 minutes from me which I am very excited about. I am going to go and see if I can try some stuff out. I am relieved that I found a place that is local. Sigh of relief!

I've been lurking since I originally posted and I'm very happy you found a shop close to home.

HEY that's GREAT! Now when you go to the shop some terminology will be familiar and you'll have a leg up on this wonderful "hobby" of ours! Shops sometimes go to the 'high price spread' (many do NOT) so beware and go slowly! Two batteries is an EXCELLENT THING to purchase as you never know when one can go bad. It's the best investment even if one is "high tech" with all the bells and whistles and the other just a "backup". TWO of the better ones is not typically that much more, but it depends on which one you choose. YOU WILL DO WELL!

LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! FOLKS AROUND HERE REALLY DO "CARE" A LOT!

FROM SENILITY CENTRAL .... Old Man Don in New Mexico

Obviously "senile" ..... I missed your last post! "ON ORDER" is a game you will play often as you get in deeper and deeper! It is FOUR WEEKS TODAY since I put down the "smokes" and even after roughly eight DECADES of smoking I guarantee it HELPS a LOT! Your boss made a good decision and YOU get the benefits!

Haha thanks! Yes I plan to get a backup battery just in case anything does happen. I did not get one initially as I was trying to keep the initial cost down as much as possible especially with the holidays. But in the very near future, I WILL get another. I know that this will benefit me and I cannot wait for it to come in! I will keep you all posted!

Hello everyone! My name is Josh and I am from New England. I have been smoking cigarettes for about 13... from my regular cigarette habit as I currently spend about $65 a week on cigarettes. My goal is to be able to get away from smoking cigarette completely for my health, my family, and cause I cannot go 8-12 hours at work without smoking.

I currently smoke Newport menthols and something compared to this would be ideal. I work at a desk with access to an electrical outlet so battery life is not a significant factor. Any help, suggestions, or direction to research would be much appreciated and thank you in advance!

Hi Stizzle,
You should have lots of replies by now and lots of opinions.
I started with Halo - the quality is as advertised.
(i bought extra batteries from other vendor and was mistake)
At $65/wk on cigs, you will save doing e-cigs - easily.
i was on 2 packs per 8 days or so and im saving a little if not breaking even (and im in TN where cigs are relatively cheap).

Pointers:
- Whatever kit you go with, get sampler packs to try diff't juices and to make sure you get off of analogs, start off with 24mg juice.
I had to do 24mg nicotine juice as the gas station disposables (like Blu) are 18mg's and they did not have enough for me to quit.
- Keep as similar vaping habits as you do your smoking. (if you smoked every hour on the hour, then go vape every hour on the hour,
if you smoked a double after meals, then be sure you spend enough time after meals to vape, etc etc)
- realize that you still will struggle with stopping smoking. Vaping is a substitute and an incomplete one at that. Quitting smoking is no joke, but vaping it will make it easier.
- Use this forum as your "couch" ... so many of us have "been there" ... are going thru exactly what you are going thru, we will encourage you.

Again, find your juice (nicotine content and flavor) and keep vaping!

2 batteries HA! That's just to start off.

I soon had a collection of 6 batteries once I got started; I have 3 lined up in the penholders in my documentbag like bullets, got a charger permanently plugged into my monitor at home and another charger permanently plugged in to my monitor at work; lost 1 battery to water (my own fault washing leaked juice off it); plus when I'm home I mainly use direct plugin cable with no battery.

One day your itaste box is going to have some kind of problem so make sure you got backup 510 batteries lying around.

Well...I got my iTaste in today! I just filled 3 tanks with the 3 different juices I had and let them sit for a little while so the wicks could absorb the liquid a bit. I have done quite a bit of reading as I was not sure what power or volts to set it to. It came with the iClear 16 which shows the omhs of the coil is 2.1. Right now I have it set at 8 for power and 4.0 for volts. It seems to hit really hard and does seem to burn my throat. I am not sure if this is cause I'm not used to vaping or if I have it set incorrectly. It also does not seem to be producing a lot of vapor but maybe I am holding it in too long. I am very excited to start using this regularly and quit my smoking habit!
