I am new here, been lurking for awhile.

I cannot post this to a current aspire thread, but thought it might be of use to people who are having problems.

I have had problems with the aspire BDC (have the ego and the full sized vivi nova tank). With both tanks the head that came with it worked great. I have wasted about 5 heads now with burnt taste that I cannot get rid of. I am hoping this post may help others.

I don't know what to tell people with flooding issues, but with dry/burnt hits, if you prime the head with two or three drops squirted in as you install it, I don't have problems. With a fresh head not primed, even sitting overnight I just cannot get a good hit. They are dry and burnt. But so far, if I prime it to the point of almost flooding, or even flooded then blown out, the wicking starts working and I can go through tank after tank.

I hope this helps out people that can't get their aspire to wick properly.

I got both styles a couple days ago. Haven't had any dry or burnt hits, I let em sit for 15 minutes after filling and take a few primer puffs. They've worked ok for me but not as well as expected from the reviews. Not getting big vapor and the flavor is different (probably because of the dual coil). For the price, I'm happy with them but still prefer the protanks.

There has been an issue with some of the PT2 heads getting a 'vapor lock' for want of a better descriptive phrase. With those, holding tight to the battery/PT connection and flicking it like a thermometer worked great. You could see bubbles coming up as the fluid got into the coil and wicks. I had to go to my local B&M to learn about this and have no problems since. I do the same thing to a new head on the Aspires. Seems to work as well with them. Glad to read your solution. I will try that next time I change heads. For the most part I have had little to no issues with Aspires. Other than one DOA and that one can be fixed. No air holes drilled. No air holes, no draw. I paid $4 for it. Still haven't decided if I want to get my drill out for that.

The flavor is not as good as my attempted builds on my igo-l for sure, or a simple 510 bridgeless atomizer. I don't know the reason why. I do know that if I turn up the voltage too high it almost tastes watered-down for lack of a better term.

I plan to get a protank next. I also have an i-clear 30 original that came with my mvp v2. I like it. The flavor and vapor seems good, but man it eats e-juice. I am not sure if I want to try a protank 3, 2, or a davide BDC with protank 2 heads.

Oh, I should also mention that I am generally using a 50/50 blend juice from mt baker, or from a local place.

The local place is Mountain Vapor, I just want to say that the apple pie from them is great. I am not sure why the plain vanilla from them has an odd chemical taste, but I plan to test it with a 510 bridgeless I got and I will try to remember to update here about how it goes.

It would have been nice to add a picture to the OP, so that people like me who don't have this device can still enjoy reading about it, we can learn something, and we can grasp the topic better. More pictures everyone please :)

Google is your friend ;)

We picked up a couple Aspire ET Clearos and loved em'. A couple weeks later ordered a couple ETs Glassos and replacement coils and they are great. No issues at all...replaced a couple of coils and no issues with the replacements. Seems to be like the Kanger products, some people have issues and others don't. Also have a Kanger MT3 and have had no issues with it either, beginners luck, eh?

I've been enjoying the glasso et-s all weekend, and I really like it. Preforms much like a out of box new pt2, without the drawbacks. I love my protanks, but the et-s has been blowing it away. The flavor production is similar, if not better in the et-s, more vapor from the et-s for sure.

Regarding the Aspire BDC,

I made two changes that are pretty simple and it really works very well now, for me at least.

I took a 1/16th drill bit, and bored out ONE airhole in the base to get more air in the draws, and ONE (juice) hole in the atomizer itself to help with quicker wicking.

I was also getting dry flavorless hits, and I think it was due to it not wicking quickly enough. These two changes made a world of difference.

I did get some flooding initially, I think because - well...who knows? Maybe coz of some primer puffs. You don't need any primer puffs with this quick drill out.

Good luck

To anyone who has flooding or gurgling problems with there aspire bdc, there is a design flaw. The metel post in the bottom of the aspire bdc coils has a hole that is 1/16 of an inch but it tappers down to 1/32 of an inch and does not let enough air through and causes to much e-liquid to be pulled in to the coiland flood it. My aspire flooded constantly. As a test I pulled the center post out got a 1/16 drill bit and drilled the hole out to make it 1/16 all the way threw. Have been testing it for the past 3 days and it works great, no flooding or gurgling. I will be doing this to all my aspire bdc replacement coils.
