Almost 8 months smoke free... I've come to the point where I want to mix my own. Then my landlord approached me and informed me he wants to eliminate tobacco smoke on my floor, and will buy the remaining smoking tenants ecigs. So I will supply them with eliquid, and probably start by getting a couple of 120mls of 50/50 48mg base, and 120ml bottles of pg and vg. I'll start them off with a pure tobacco flavor at 70/30 24mg. I guess to start off with, how bad is freshly made eliquid? I won't have time to steep them to start and I still need the stuff to get them off tobacco. I was thinking 15% flavor mix to start, would that be enough of a bang? I like my 50/50 32mg double flavor shot stuff, but find it's a bit too much for most beginners. I'm worried that unsteeped it won't be very good. Anything I might do for the first batch for first time users so they like it? Up the flavor, nic ect?

Perhaps the quizzical responses from the experienced DIY-ers are because there is a learning curve to doing DIY juice, and planning to supply others on short notice with no prior experience may be a recipe for [insert unpleasant consequence here]?

Compound that with the fact that different people have different nicotine tolerance levels and everybody's preferences with regard to flavors varies, and on face value, this sounds like a risky proposition at best. Oh yeah, and some people react badly to PG and/or VG and/or ingredients in some flavorings.

Hmmm, okay.... just wanting any input at all on a first time mixing. Will it taste okay right away? Should I buy some premade for them first? I don't know. Big purchase and a lot of people relying on me is all. I guess I'll just mix them, and tell them to let them steep in their cupboards for a couple of weeks while using them.

Arrrg, Boletus, heh, thanks for that info though, you are right. This is going to be a long learning experience for me, I just have to cram it into about 3 days.... arrrg!

I will be as blunt here as I can: NO! You cannot expect to master DIY in 3 days, and you are putting yourself at serious risk. Many of us share our creations with friends and family, on the understanding that they will not lynch us if they hate the juice or get sickened by it. Supplying people that are being coerced into vaping by their landlord with pre-made juice is risky enough; some may resent what they see as an infringement on their liberty and be looking for a reason to put the whole thing down. If you have personally prepared the juice... can you say, "OMG, my life has become a horrible mess?"

Really? I did research everything, including flavorings, some contain bad ingredients, I won't mention the names. I know how much percentage of flavoring, pg, vg, and 50/50 base to use down to the .1ml measures. I've been vaping for 8 months now, a former 40 year smoker, and have a degree in computer engineering as well. Give me some credit, I can do math.
I won't give them over 24mg, guaranteed.

OK, you just really don't get it. It's not about your skills and abilities at all. If a winner of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry proposed the same thing, the answer would be the same.

I still need to learn how to do it, have the knowledge to start, and the willingness to be good. I guarantee the safety of my clients, I will test every liquid myself first. I have to start somewhere!
And plus, these guys don't know how to get this stuff, I have to do it. So yes I'll learn as much as I can....

So what will you do when one of the tenant's children grabs a bottle of 24 mg e-juice and sucks it down? What will you do when someone goes into cardiac arrest and blames it on your e-juice?

And I am going to hazard a guess that you are proposing to do this for profit, which would prohibit use of this part of the forum for your purposes. Oh, and not even professional e-juice manufacturers "guarantee the safety" of their clients.

If you really are that bullheaded, I am going to suggest the MODS consider closing this thread, unless some more-experienced forum members want to chime in here.

Good input, even if it disses me, I need all I can get.....

That's the part you don't get; no one is dissing you. We are merely trying to help you. FYI, I am a licensed civil engineer with years of experience working with toxic chemicals, and I am still learning how to do this well. And I would never have the hubris to assume that I could help my landlord shove homemade e-juice onto semi-unwilling tenants, for any money.
