Thanks, BuzzKill! Of course the fact that you are one of our Featured Suppliers makes one wonder about your motives.;) Only teasing, as Mike well knows. CyberWolf and I do appreciate it.

And, folks, while you're there on VapingGuides, check out the 34 hilarious videos our ECF cohorts have created for our enjoyment ... and vote for your favorites! NotCigs is one of the generous sponsors, donating the...Infinity! You da man, Buzz/Mike!

No problem Don, BTW yours is on the way back to you all nice and fixed to our new specs now , we have tightened up the test specs to include a 2.2 ohm 20 sec. timed test to check the cutoff point in worst case conditions.

I think I just got disappointing news. The native 901 on the Buzz is slotted? That means it won't work with my V4L 808 slotted carts? Oh man, that is a bummer if true. I need a 901 to 808 adapter now? I'm gonna have to pay for express shipping from somewhere now just for an adapter so I can use the Buzz this weekend?

Mike, this is what I'm talking about re: the site. I even asked about this, but still, apparently I didn't get the order right. We gotta get this fixed, at least for the top ten suppliers of carts and flavors. I wonder if the 808 mega cart is directly compatable now too. I had my eye on those for use with the Buzz. Oh well. It was just this stupid party on Sunday... life's small tribulations!

NoM Clouds of Vapor and Nhaler are both pretty close to you. Talk to Drew and Bruce and see what they can do. Both carry that adapter and might be able to get it to you by tomorrow.

Did you ask for 808 on your buzz? If you did and the connector has the vertical slot in it it will work with 808.

Thanks Ruppy. I am over my initial disappointment. I ordered a 901 batt to 808 carto adapter, but won't have it by the weekend. Maybe there is still some way I can make it work. Wierd, so many people said the 901 and 808 are compatable, but that apparently is only the threads. I guess the slots are different from one vendor to the next. The 901 has slots, so do my V4L cartos as I understand it. The V4L 808 batts are flat. They need a slotted cart. A slotted 901 won't work with a slotted 808. Live and learn.

I've been talking with Buzz about generating something for the site to reduce this sort of confusion. Sort of a big project which would take some time, but well worth it I think. Even People who go to the V4L site have to ask tons of questions about the differences in their own carts. Not enough info. Even the flavors lack descriptions. Makes it more difficult to buy.

Not a biggie, but another example of how this now cottage industry is experiencing some growing pains. It's across the board at just about evey vendor's site. So many variables and compatability issues. Vets know what to do... newbies get completely lost at times.

PS: Mike went out of his way to get this shipped out to me quickly, and I owe him a big thank you for that.

NoMatches,
I have the slotted 808 connector on my Buzz and it works great with the V4L cartos (and all my other 808 cartos). I think that Buzz just uses a 901 and cuts slots into it for the airflow that the 808s need...if I'm wrong here, I'm sure somebody'll chime in. :)

It works great! No worries, OK?

NoMatches,

You stated in your earlier post that you ordered the native 808 which is what I have and it will work just fine with V4L cartos! The 901-510 adapter is for using with 510 threaded stuff. I think you will be fine!

NoM, the slots are supposed to be there on an 808, and all of my old 808 batts have them. They are there so that you can control the aorflow by either lining up the slots on connector and carto to increase air flow, or turning the carto a bit to reduce air flow. I'm not sure where the confusion about that came from. I believe in your first thread asking for advice I told you that the 808 connector was slotted but you got so many helpful replies that I can see how that bit of info got overlooked.

NoMatches if it's slotted it's an 808...901s have no slots....Threads on both are the same a 901 will work on an 808 and vica versa...Like Bovina stated the slots are there for airflow...Given that fact a 901 works quiet well on a 808,,,an 808 on a 901 just tightens the draw a bit...It will still work fine..Later should you wish you can get any top cap you wish from Mike...

No, LOL, I was just making sure. I wasn't about to touch it unless Buzzkill said to, or at least 3 other people here said to take it out! I was pretty sure it was part of the 808 connector since I was able to screw a cart on while the batteries were charging. I just wanted to be sure before I tried to use it. I can be a dolt, but even I'm not that stupid! LOL... don't say a word...

Well, my job I think is going to be to try to NoMatches (idiot) proof the site if Mike still thinks it's worth a shot. I have family from out of town (TX) arriving tomorrow and will stay for the week (all part of this big party I mentioned). After that, I'd like to take a shot at doing some stuff for the site for Mike to consider. (nothing official, just a hobby sort of project for me)

I posted a review at my fantasy football board. People did not seem to understand... a mod is a step up acroos the board in everything. They thought there were some trade offs involved. Other than being bigger, I don't see single trade off at all. It is an across the board improvement in my vaping pleasure! I was sure I would buy an Infinity, but I love the Buzz so much...another Buzz? Ah, heck, I'll probably buy both.

Get both, use the buzz as an everyday PV, and use the infinity as a nicer classier looking PV for when you out, and also as a backup just in case. Also when I got my buzz and saw the small screw being used as the center post I was more than impressed, other mods on the market use the connections off of old e Cig battery's for there's, and many have the problem of the center post breaking, mike knows how to build great things.

I'm not surprised Mike found a better way. Being a newbie, I just wasn't sure what I was looking at. Finding out it is an improvement over others at this point already, I am not surprised at all. I read the reviews, I knew the Buzz was extremely well built. What did surprise me is how great it is performance wise. It surpassed my expectations by a long shot. I knew it would be good, but THIS good?

So, how does the vaping experience of the Buzz compare to the Infinity? I really don't mind the appearance of the Buzz at all. like I said, black with the brass trim and a black carto, I think it looks pretty sharp. I don't know if the pic at the site does the Infinty justice. I can't really get a feel for what it looks like.

I put some new pix up on the site now hopefully they are better ?

I am working on a design for the top cap that is like the Buzz for the Infinity , these Chinese parts are not working out that well IMO , they will be built into the top cap and be as strong as the Buzz .

That's definitely better. Much easier to see, and it looks very sleek and classy. Is it about the same size as a Buzz? I can only guess, it looks like it might be thinner but slightly longer. Those are definitly better pictures.
