Hi folks,

Spent the whole day here at ECF - what a great bunch of people! Disappointing entre into the PV world - returning my Apollo cuz it makes me cough up my kidneys even after I found out how to use it properly from info here (no info in the pamphlet). Please check out my post today for the full story if you wish. After many helpful posts I have been recommended to a KR808 and a supplier that will send me a PG/VG mix. As I understand it some people find the TH from the PG too harsh and I'm not the only one. I really would prefer not to have to do any mixing myself at this point. Would actually prefer prefilled carts. Any supplier advice for me - preferably reasonably local?

Thanks,
Susan

I think I managed to send you a list of Canadian dealers.. I know you want the convenience of pre filled carts or cartos. If you fill your own you will save a bit of money plus get better e-juice. After you fill one or two you will be wondering what all the worry was about. If the list never went through let me know and I will resend it.

Some dealers offer 3 or 5 mil size bottles at a cheap price as samples. Order a bunch and try and remember what you like. I like an all pg nasty tasting juice so I can't help you there but some of the Cdn members have juice reviews in the Canadian forum. I have been lucky and all the Dealers in Canada and the States that I shop from seem great.

One thing I forgot to mention is get manual batteries if possible. You have to press a button when you take a drag. The battery is sealed and not easily damage due to juice leakage. And if you get into dripping later on it is a lot safer. I have both and it seems to give a better hit also. Just my opinion and others may give you their preferences

Being new to vaping myself, I spent a lot of time on ECF doing some research before I bought my first kit as well. Not only was the help from the ECF members helpful, I also found that a few of the suppliers I sent questions to were more than willing to help out as well. I would also agree with drac that filling your own cartos is the way to go as it's not difficult nor very time consuming. Plus, for me I found that the pre-filled carts did not last very long as I was a heavy analog smoker so I went through a ton of pre-filled's during the transition.
Good luck on your journey, and I'm sure that no matter what other questions you may have, there are people here that are going to be able to help you out!

I would definitely advise against buying pre-filled cartomizers and carts, you don't know how long ago those have been filled, and most of the pre-filled ones might not have been pre-filled with the highest quality juice so you most likely won't get the best experience.

As Drac mentioned, a lot of vendors sell 3-5ml samples, which are a great way of trying a juice before committing to a full 30ml bottle. What I usually recommend to people starting off with vaping is to try different categories, i.e. fruity, tobacco, sweet. At least in my experience, most people will usually take to a particular one. For example in the beginning I couldn't stand anything tobacco, or sweet (caramel, vanilla etc.), I was mostly interested in fruity flavors.

A few vendors also offer different PG/VG ratios, so if you find a juice you like, or one you think you'll like, it's a good idea to order the sample version in different ratios (100% VG, 80-20 PG/VG, etc). Well actually there aren't too many vendors in Canada that offer this option, but I'll point out one or two from the list Drac sent you that will offer this.

Oh - that was nice!! I don't have a site for gear - first order was Apollo from the states - that's going back tomorrow....so I need some advice on CDA sites - know you won't list them but with the info that Calico gave me for what I should look for was looking for some northern advice.
Are you on facebook my dear? if so, come join our lil Canadian group full of knowledge, vid reviews, and lots of suppliers there that can post freely in Canada. Here is the link! http://www.facebook.com/groups/171966856188033/#!/groups/146681238723369/

You should come out to the next local meet TBA and you can try and see everything that is for sale anywhere.
