I am new to the vaping world. I have a Kanger EVOD. Quite a few questions here. I greatly appreciate your time and feedback.

In my youth I was a fairly heavy smoker. Now I am a social smoker and tend to smoke too much when I have a few drinks. I can go a few weeks between cigarettes. I do not want to go back to being nicotine dependent. When I smoke I smoke Marlboro Light 72's.

For online purchases, I am in the Midwest (US).

1. Flavors
So far I have not been impressed with the flavors of my local shop. I tried a few of their tasty flavors and their tobacco flavors. I want a true cigarette hit. I know this will never be achieved 100%. Just like my beers, I would enjoy a complex flavor profile (if that is is even a vaping option). I have read a few good reviews from Alien Vision juices.

2. PG vs VG
This seems to be a rather complex discussion. Are there any true dangers/benefits for each?

3. Nicotine level
What level of Nicotine do I go with? I still want to feel the hit, but fear the dependency again.

4. Additional Cartomizers
I would like to get few more cartomizers for my EVOD. Right now I would like to switch between a few flavors until I find my flavor. My local shop seems to charge way too much for these. I like a good strong hit. Are there any highly recommended reputable sites?

Again, thank you so much for helping me out.

1. Everyone has their own opinions about flavors. Both my wife and I were heavy long term smokers. I use unflavored which I believe is the closest to smoking. My wife uses naturally extracted tobacco flavors from Heathers Heavenly Vapes...namely Dragons Fire and Pirates Booty. Your best bet is to try some sample sizes from several different vendors. And I'm sure others will be along to plug their favorites.

2. PG is harsher and thinner but carries the flavor. VG is thicker and provides the vapor. Everyone has their own opinions about this as well (notice a pattern?). I like mine at about 70% PG/30% VG. My wife uses 60%/40% and sometimes adds a little more VG (you can buy straight VG from Walmart). Sometimes people are sensitive to PG...probably rare. Evod and other bottom coil tanks do as well with higher VG mixes.

3. Tough call here. You can get more throat hit with certain flavors, but you get the most with nicotine. If you are talking nicotine (lightheaded) hit, well no one can tell how much you will require. If you are just an occasional smoker, you might get by with 6mg...or you might want more. Again samples will help. If you buy something too high in nicotine, there's always the already mention Walmart VG that you can use to weaken it. Another option for throat hit is lower resistance coils...I use 1.8ohm in my evods.

4. Evod (cartomizers), usually called clearomizers or tanks, are available almost everywhere for $5-6.00. Discount Vapors, Litecigusa, Mt Baker Vapor, Vaping Me, are some of the places I go. Might even consider different colors for different flavors.

Hope that helps.

Hi and Welcome to ECF! The only thing I can add to that ^^ is a different answer to #1

1. Nothing really tastes at all like a true cigarette to me. The closest tobacco flavor I have found to really having a rich taste (most taste the way a freshly opened pack of smokes smell) is a WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkaloid) from Aroma - 555. Fro your mention- Bobas Bounty is pretty tasty, nothing remotely like a cigarette at all - but very complex and definite tobacco notes in the flavor. Alien Visions overall has great juice. Worth a sample for sure.

for complex mix of flavors check out Velvet Cloud Vapor. they have a great selection of mixed flavors. StrawbGuab is my favorite. being from The Garden isle of Kaua'i i miss my guavas and other fruits i had growing in my yard. so this really hits home.

nicotine levels depend on how much you smoke really.. i smoked a pack of marlboro reds every day give or take. i chose 18MG of nic for my personal favorites but sometimes 12mg will do it for me. personally i have no idea what your intake of cigs are but try 6mg and if thats not enough check out 12.

Pg is more for the flavor and throat hit. and VG is for more vapor production.

If you like complex flavor profiles, you can do no better than Ahlusion. (Ahlusion.us) They also have quite a few tobacco flavors that are very popular. Once you get 5 posts pop over to the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...446286-ahlusion-e-juice-920.html#post11900242 thread and ask about them. Everyone there will be more than happy to help you.

Hello :) If you're looking for a good throat hit go high PG: it's harsher. You'll also get more throat hit, without having a high nicotine content. You may want low nicotine or even 0 nicotine during the times when you smoke lightly. During the times you chain smoke, maybe try some 18 mg or 24 mg e liquid. Now as far as the cigarette flavor. A while back The Ocelot posted about a disturbing e liquid. Ecblends sells it, and I believe it is called lick a dirty ashtray lol.

I tried all kinds of "tobacco" flavor sand none hit the spot for me. I found that I went off the spectrum for flavor and was most satisfied with the choices (mints and tart candies). I don't know why but I was so disappointed with chasing the analog replacement flavor quest. I like the higher VG content too because of the vapor. It is probably the mental aspect that I can "see" more vapor when exhaled more than anything. I have tried some 50/50 mixes and they just don't impress me. I found Halo flavors in the 70/30 blend do the trick for me. I get the throat hit I desire and also the vapor out that I like. As you can see, you will probably get as many different answers as you have replies. The funny thing is that contrary to popular belief, we are all individuals. The choices are going to be individual as well. sample packs will help and if possible, go to a local vape shop and sample the wares. You will most surely find what suits you! :headbang:

Hello All :)
So I havn't really tried to many tobaccos because the local shops around here don't really have anything, let alone tobaccos, that don't have some form of this funky smell/taste to them. Since discovering the glory of the ECF I started buying from a few places online and have an extraordinary list of others that I want to try as well.

So my favorite vape is Pluid but while on site I have been checking out RiverBottom Fog Sauce and have some Fabulous and Burley coming as well as some Porch Rocker. When those come in I'll post a little something in here if I can remember on how I think they relate to real tobacco but I'm pretty hopeful.

Other than that I have tried 4 Star General from myfreedomsmoke.com and it's not bad. Not a definitive tobacco taste but I got it in 24mg so that when I really start craving an analog I can just have a couple puffs on it and it takes my craving away by hitting me hard with a dry throat hit. Its not my everyday but it is pretty nice to have on hand for when those moments arise.

I also have a Marlboro Menthol flavor that is alright but its sorta terrible but I got it at a local shop because I needed a few more bottle while waiting for my order to come in. I used to smoke menthols so I've been trying to find a good strong menthol and have found a few that definitely deliver that nice cooling minty flavor.

Mt. Baker Vapor is definitely worth a good look. Planning on trying some Alien Visions, Halo, MoonMountain, Pink Spot, Quantum Vapor, and a few other natural/ herbal juices as well next month.
