Hi. I just got my Pilot last week and have been vaping for three days. I've only had about three cigs, only because my battery died or my cartridge went dry.

My question is - How do you carry all your STUFF around all day? This is for the experienced who work all day, not the ones that are home vaping. :)

Let me give you a little background of my usual day. My car is my office about 5-6 days a week. That could be nine hours a day. I have appointments at peoples houses that could last from 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours. I live in Florida and my car really heats us when it's parked.

What I would like to know is how do you all, that work all day, carry all your STUFF around? Your batteries, cartridges, liquid, etc. What do you put the carts in so they don't leak? Should I put everything in a cooler? Does anyone have a cool system to share?

The past few days on the road, my battery has gone dead and I've emptied my cart. I know I will have to bring two batteries (that's all I have now), and more carts, but I want to know the best way to store them while in the car. (in the heat)

I really appreciate any help here. I want to succeed at this.

Thanks,
Terry

Hey Ratpack your job sounds just like mine. I spend most of my day in the vehicle also. I generally carry 2 ecigs with me each day. I don't carry many cartridges with me but do carry some small bottles of juice to redrip the ones I have. You can pick them up from different websites and the hold a couple of ml to get through the day. Just purchased a back up usb battery pack for extra power during the day. My Kissbox usually gets through the day anyway on 2 batteries. I am also in Florida but haven't had any issues with the heat being a problem yet. I usually keep the small bottles in my pocket though when I go into an account.

Thanks Clam. I just ordered a APC battery charger also!! Haven't got it yet, but I will bring it in the car just in case.

So, you carry your bottles in your pocket, but no extra carts. I think I'll need carts, I can't drip while I'm driving. (Is that illegal? :) )

I usually carry extra cartridges also just in case. As far as dripping and driving:D I usually can do it with no problem. I usually refill when I stop or can get away with it when stopped for a light or something. Don't try on I 75 of course!8-o

thanks Sun. Lots of great ideas?

Let me ask you a question. You live in Florida. If you're in and out of your car all day, do you have to use a cooler or something to keep everything from frying? That is one of my concerns. Not just the case to carry the stuff in, but the heat.

thanks.

Ratpack--just like the Garmin, cellphone, or any other device--I have had no issues with the heat although they say it is not good for any battery. I would not be concerned about it as I have not run into any issues--Hope that Helps--Sun:)

 I'm a little confused. I carry about the same or less e-smoking than analogs. From your post at most you've got a pair of pilots and about 4 carts to carry. Until you buy more stuff, of course. ;) So roughly the size of 3 analogs. You could toss them in an empty analog pack and there would be room to spare. Until I order another kit, I've just stuck mine in my pocket or my little change purse with a little 3ml (tiny, tiny) juice bottle. Takes up less room than one analog and a lighter.

I've had the same with a dead battery twice now with the pilot while out, luckily I brought my pen with me just in case. If I wanted to go out for extended periods exclusively with the pilot and charging wasn't an option I'd bring 2 complete pilots, 2 extra batteries and a little bottle of juice or if I didn't want to fill, 4-5 extra carts. Everything charged, filled, assembled, ready to go. It would still take up less room than a regular pack of analogs and a lighter. I've seen tons of things to carry in and if your super cheap, an empty pack will do.

If the car's handy you could get by with just the addition of a car charger. Smoke 1, charge 1. Or get another pilot kit and if you leave with everything ready in the AM you should be good to go for the day. Personally, while I like my pilot and will be getting another for running around, I'm sticking with the pen for long drives and if I'm sitting at home. Assembled, well it takes up about the same room as a pen.

If you're worried about it being in the car, I don't see why, other than going with a car charger, you need to leave anything in there. Are you an underwear model who arrives at the shoot dressed and ready? :D

Thanks Momof3. I was mostly worried about the heat. I'm in Florida, and my car might sit in the sun for up to 4 hours at a time with all my STUFF in it. I wasn't so worried about what to bring with me everyday, as I was about things getting ruined in the heat, or cars leaking.

RatPact--I am way down in Florida and I can tell you from using these all last summer in the car--It is not an issue. As a matter of fact, batteries that have frozen up due to e-liquid running down them, I have actually placed in the sun to heat up an unfreeze as the heat lossens up the liquid that gets in them and then they fire up. You really will find that the heat is not an issue. I keep 2 ecig set ups in my car that stay there as I do not take them in and out--they are just for the car as it is easier that way and you never have to worry about transporting back and forth. They last just as long as the ones in the house--Sun:)

Never heard of any hot weather problems only cold weather.

That's right Clam--there was a post here from a trucker who left his whole deal out in his truck overnight at a motel in the freezing weather and in the morning nothing worked--atomizers and batteries would not fire. He reported getting lucky and finding an NJOY being sold at a truck stop--good pick up on that Claim----Sun

Just a thought RatPack, get yourself a USB passthrough and a car adapter. (Wal-Mart on-line around $6) Then you would only need batteries if you were going inside for a while.

The thermal bag like they use for lunches might also be good to carry everything in. Be sure to get some bottled juice to top off with too. You should be set.

Everyone, thanks so much!! You've answered all of my questions and concerns. My main concern was the heat, but sounds like it's not a problem at all.

I might look into a penstyle for at home though. I smoke more at home and it seems I'm always topping off or charging the battery. I don't think there is a UBS passthrough for the Pilot. The penstyle comes with one?

No you buy the passthrough separately. And no passthrough for the pilot yet. I think I would rather they made a portable charging case for it like the Janty Dura one, but with room for 2 complete pilots and a mini bottle of juice.

I wonder with the cold if you let everything warm back up, would it then work? Like a cigarette lighter.

I have an APC battery charger on the way. That should do me for charging in the car.

I think I'll be pretty much set now that I know that I don't have to worry about the heat.

I also have an Evo (well actually two) coming whenever they get around to it. I hear that those batteries last longer. Plus they are interchangable with the Pilot parts.

I believe that I am all set for my long days on the road. ;-)
